Eating asparagus every day can prevent pancreatic cancer

Asparagus, also known as Asparagus, is named for its shape like spring bamboo shoots. Asparagus is rich in fiber, soft and delicious, can increase appetite and help digestion. It is known as "one of the top ten famous dishes" and is a high-end and precious vegetable. Asparagus can effectively prevent the occurrence of pancreatic cancer because asparagus is rich in anti-cancer elements-selenium, which can effectively prevent the formation of carcinogens peroxides and free radicals, and prevent cancer cells from dividing and growing by inhibiting the synthesis of deoxyribonucleic acid in cancer cells. The large amount of folic acid, nucleic acid, selenium and asparaginase in asparagus prevents the spread of cancer cells, while stimulating the body's immune function and improving resistance to cancer cells.

Asparagus extract can cause double-strand breaks in cancer cell DNA, which can directly kill cancer cells and has no side effects on normal cells. However, it should be noted that when asparagus is used as an auxiliary treatment for pancreatic cancer, it should be consumed every day to be effective.

Asparagus can be stir-fried, boiled, stewed, served cold, or made into soup, but it should not be eaten raw, as it may cause bloating and diarrhea. The best way to eat asparagus is to eat it while it is "fresh", because the fresher the asparagus, the more effective it is in fighting cancer. The criteria for fresh asparagus are firmness, dense buds, no axillary buds, bright skin without shrinkage, tenderness, and size.

If you can't eat it right away, you can wrap the asparagus in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator, but it can only last for 2 to 3 days. Or you can blanch the asparagus in 5% warm salt water for 1 minute, take it out and put it in cold water to cool, wait 10 minutes and then put it in the refrigerator to prolong its freshness.

The important ingredients of asparagus are all at the tip of the young shoots, so you should pay more attention to preserving the asparagus tips when cooking. In particular, cooking soup with asparagus has a better anti-cancer effect. The specific method is to cut the asparagus into strips before cooking, soak it in clean water for 20 to 30 minutes to remove the bitterness. After the water boils, add the peeled asparagus and cook it on low heat for 15 minutes.
