Prevention of liver cancer

Prevention of liver cancer

From the causes of primary liver cancer, hepatitis B, C and D are the main pathogenic factors. Therefore, to prevent liver cancer, we must first prevent viral hepatitis.

1. Hepatitis virus infection routes

(1) There are two ways of infection of hepatitis B: ① Mother-to-child transmission. It is generally believed that about 1/3 of hepatitis B surface antigen carriers are transmitted from mother to child. Due to early infection, more than 90% develop chronic infection. Studies have shown that the risk of chronic infection in children under 6 years old is 30%, while only 5% of adults who acquire the infection become chronic. ② Blood transmission and medical transmission. Blood transmission is also an important route, such as blood transfusion or use of blood products, hemodialysis, accidental puncture by needles or scalpels, sharing razors and toothbrushes, tattoos, fillings, etc. Sexual contact transmission: The semen of male hepatitis B surface antigen carriers is contagious. Other ways of transmission of the virus may also be through damaged oral mucosa and insect bites.

(2) Hepatitis A and hepatitis E are mainly transmitted through the digestive tract, that is, fecal-oral transmission.

(3) There are still few patients with hepatitis C and D in my country. They are transmitted through the blood, mainly through blood transfusion.

2. Prevention of hepatitis

(1) First, get the hepatitis B vaccine. In my country, 1 in 10 people have hepatitis B. It is impossible to avoid contact with the hepatitis virus in daily life. Fortunately, a safe and effective hepatitis B vaccine has been developed, and the success rate of inducing protective antibodies after injection is over 97%. my country has now promoted the vaccination program for infants and children, and it is expected that the incidence of liver cancer will drop significantly in 20 years.

(2) Ensure that the blood source is not contaminated by hepatitis virus, minimize blood transfusion or use of blood products, and use disposable medical devices to prevent blood transmission and medical transmission. Beauty salons all carry out acupuncture weight loss, and the disinfection of their acupuncture needles is worrying. In daily life, you should also be a caring person and avoid sharing razors, toothbrushes, nail clippers and other items. Male hepatitis B surface antigen carriers must use condoms during sexual intercourse. Other ways of transmission of the virus may also be through damaged oral mucosa and insect bites.

(3) To prevent hepatitis B virus, we must also start with food hygiene and living habits. We must wash our hands frequently and separate our meals. It is worth noting that people with hepatitis cannot be chefs.

(4) Once contact with a hepatitis patient is confirmed, high-titer hepatitis B immunoglobulin should be injected immediately for prevention.
