Will vomiting blood be a symptom of laryngeal cancer?

What are the early symptoms of laryngeal cancer? Many people may have heard of laryngeal cancer, but early laryngeal cancer can be diagnosed through those symptoms. Due to different types of laryngeal cancer, the symptoms of laryngeal cancer appear earlier or later and the severity of the disease is also different. The main symptoms of laryngeal cancer are:

1. Hoarseness: It is the earliest symptom of vocal cord cancer, which is usually persistent and gradually worsens. The early symptoms of subglottic cancer are not obvious, while hoarseness is a symptom of the later stage.

(ii) Foreign body sensation and pain in the throat: This is often an early symptom of supraglottic cancer. After the cancer ruptures, throat pain may occur, sometimes radiating to the ear on the same side. This is a late symptom.

(III) Coughing and blood in sputum: These symptoms occur after the cancer has ruptured and are common.

(iv) Difficulty breathing: This is a symptom of the later stages of the disease, indicating that the cancer has progressed to the point of blocking the throat.

(V) Cervical lymph node metastasis: It can metastasize to the middle deep cervical lymph nodes on the same side, and may metastasize to the contralateral side in the late stage.

There are three different types of cancer, depending on where the cancer is located.

(I) Supraglottic type

(ii) Glottal type

(III) Subglottic type

Stages of Laryngeal Cancer:

The letter t represents the size of the tumor and the range of invasion of the primary tumor: t1: the tumor is limited to one side of the larynx; t2 the tumor is located on both sides of the larynx; t3 the tumor has caused obstruction of the movement of the vocal cord on one side; t4 the tumor has invaded outside the larynx.

n indicates whether there is lymph node involvement, which is divided into 4 levels, namely n0, n1, n2 and n3. No: no evidence of lymph node metastasis; n1: there is a suspicious lymph node with a diameter less than 3 cm; n2: lymph nodes are found on both sides of the neck or there are more than two lymph nodes on one side, or the diameter on one side is greater than 3 cm and less than 6 cm; n3: a lymph node has a diameter of more than 6 cm.

The letter m indicates whether there is distant metastasis, m0: no metastasis; m1: metastasis;

The TNM staging combined with the other staging is the staging of laryngeal cancer:

Phase i: t1, n0 and m0;

Stage II: T2, N0 and M0;

Stage III: T3, N0 and M0; T1, T2, or T3, and N1, M0;

Stage IV: T4, N0 or N1, M0; any T plus N2 or N3 and M0, or M1 plus any T or N;

When the tumor is very small, it is T1. When distant metastasis occurs or invasion of adjacent structures (but not including lymph nodes) occurs, it is T4. Laryngeal cancer that has invaded the lymph nodes and reaches N2 or N3 is also T4.

What are the early symptoms of laryngeal cancer: Through the above content, you can understand the early symptoms of laryngeal cancer, as well as the types and stages of laryngeal cancer. When the above symptoms appear, please go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis in time to prevent delays in the disease and miss the best treatment period. I hope the above content introduction can help everyone.
