Can pancreatic cancer be screened with color Doppler ultrasound?

With the increasing incidence of cancer, people are beginning to be afraid of cancer. Many people who have pancreatic cancer will gradually lose weight. Everyone should pay attention to physical examination. Let's see, can color Doppler ultrasound detect pancreatic cancer? What are the examination methods?

The early symptoms of adenocarcinoma patients include weight loss, stomach pain, back pain, etc. Abdominal color Doppler ultrasound is the preferred method for pancreatic cancer screening and diagnosis. Color Doppler ultrasound can be observed in multiple axes and can better show the internal structure of the pancreas, the presence of bile duct obstruction and the location of obstruction. However, the limitation of color Doppler ultrasound is that the field of view is small and it is easily affected by the gas in the stomach and intestines and the body shape. Therefore, pathological examination is the most accurate for cancer patients, and color Doppler ultrasound is an auxiliary examination.

The inspection methods are:

1. Ultrasound examination: It is convenient and easy to perform. It is very helpful for the preliminary diagnosis of pancreatic tumors. It can also detect liver, intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct tumors. It is currently the most commonly used method for diagnosing pancreatic tumors. In addition, pancreatic biopsy can be taken under ultrasound guidance to clarify the pathological diagnosis. However, the accuracy of ultrasound diagnosis is limited by the operator's skills, the patient's enlarged body shape and gastrointestinal gas.

2. CT scan: It is one of the most commonly used methods for diagnosing pancreatic tumors. Enhanced CT must be performed to diagnose pancreatic tumors, otherwise it is impossible to determine the invasion of surrounding blood vessels and lymph node metastasis. Fine needle aspiration (FNA) cytology under CT or ultrasound guidance can reach 85% accuracy in diagnosing pancreatic cancer, and its specificity can reach almost 100%. When there is no indication for surgery or the patient is unwilling to undergo surgery, FNA may be particularly useful for pancreatic tail, pancreatic body damage or metastatic lesions.

3. Magnetic resonance imaging (MR): MR is basically the same as CT in diagnosing pancreatic cancer, but it is better than CT in bile duct imaging. In addition, MRI diffusion imaging can determine the activity of the tumor.

Through the above analysis and introduction, for the sake of everyone's health, you should pay attention to going to a regular hospital for a physical examination when you have time.
