There are many clinical manifestations and signs that can be caused by colorectal cancer. Defecation is a physiological phenomenon. It is normal for everyone to defecate once a day. However, once colorectal cancer occurs, not only the frequency of defecation changes, but also the shape of the stool will change accordingly. But once colorectal cancer occurs, what clinical manifestations will it cause? (1) Symptoms caused by local infiltration: When rectal cancer spreads beyond the intestinal wall and widely infiltrates the pelvic cavity (or recurs in the pelvic cavity after surgery), it may cause soreness and a feeling of heaviness in the waist and sacral region. When the tumor infiltrates or compresses the sciatic nerve or obturator nerve root (lumbosacral plexus), sciatica or obturator neuralgia may also occur. When the tumor invades the vagina and bladder mucosa, vaginal bleeding or hematuria may occur. If colon cancer invades the small intestine that is in contact with and adheres to it to form an internal fistula, postprandial diarrhea may occur, with symptoms of excreting undigested food. When the tumor involves the ureter, hydronephrosis may occur. If both ureters are affected, it may cause urinary retention and uremia, which are common causes of death from pelvic recurrence after rectal cancer surgery. (2) Symptoms caused by hematogenous metastasis: Hematogenous metastasis is common in colorectal cancer, and different symptoms and signs may occur depending on the site of hematogenous metastasis. The liver is the most common site of hematogenous metastasis. In addition, the lungs, bones, ovaries, brain, etc. are also prone to metastasis. Of course, the clinical manifestations of colorectal cancer described by the experts above are only two common aspects. There are other common clinical manifestations. The most important thing for colorectal cancer is to remove the onset site in the early stage of the disease. Only in this way can the spread and spread of the disease be inhibited, and the chance of tumor metastasis will be greatly reduced. |
