Are blue veins arteries or veins

Everyone will have blue veins on their arms or legs. This is mainly because blood vessels appear, which is caused by symptoms such as blood stasis and parasite accumulation, so everyone should understand how to relieve blue veins. The symptom of blue veins is generally caused by varicose veins, and when the skin is thin, the blue veins will be more obvious. Let us now understand whether blue veins are arteries or veins.

①Certificate name. The blue veins that are abnormally exposed on the human body surface. Caused by blood stasis, parasite accumulation or sha syndrome, etc. "Zhang's Medical Encyclopedia·Diarrhea" says: "Blood retention causes swelling, purple veins can be seen on the abdomen, or there are red streaks and marks on the hands and feet, urination is difficult, and the stool is black. The "Golden Chamber" says Yuxue Decoction..." Volume 4 of "Zheng Yin Mai Zhi" states: "A big belly with blue veins is a symptom of abdominal pain caused by worm accumulation." The so-called big belly with blue veins refers to a swollen abdomen and varicose veins in the abdominal wall. The secret recipe for treatment is Wanying Pills, etc. It is more common in ascites caused by cirrhosis.

②The name of acupuncture point. Also known as the Yang tendon, it is located on the palm side of the wrist opposite the index finger. "Pediatric Massage Classic·Six Tendons": "Blue tendons are pure yang and belong to wood, corresponding to the liver and gallbladder, are gentle and warm, and connect to the eyes." It is used to treat external heat and internal cold, red and dry eyes, excessive tears, etc. Pinch it until sweat appears.

The "blue veins" on the back of the hand are veins.

There are two types of blood vessels: arteries and veins. The blood in arteries is lighter in color, red, while the blood in veins is darker in color, blue. Generally, arteries are not easy to see in the deep layer of the skin, while veins are more obvious on the surface of the skin.

3. Refers to the veins that can be seen under the skin.

Veins are channels through which blood flows back after passing through microcirculation.

The bulging blue veins indicate that blood return is obstructed and pressure is increased, which manifests as varicose veins, bulges, twisting, and finally discoloration. This indicates that physiological waste products such as blood stasis, dampness, heat toxins, and stagnation in the human body cannot be excreted from the body. This is a manifestation of waste stagnation in the human body. It is especially obvious in people who do not defecate for 3-5 days. If you defecate several times a day, the blue veins will become concave. If the meridians are unobstructed, there will be no pain; if there is pain, there will be blockage. If wastes such as cholesterol and blood lipids accumulate in the blood, it will cause high blood pressure, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; if there is waste accumulation or stool in our intestines, such as toxins, bacteria, mucus, etc., it will cause constipation; if there is accumulation in the meridians, it is generally the deposition of phlegm, dampness, blood stasis and toxins, causing some of our pain, inflammation and tumors.

It is said in the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine: Meridians determine life and death and regulate deficiency and excess, and they must be unobstructed.

According to clinical experience, the following symptoms can be considered as reactions to excessive stagnation in the body:

1. Difficulty in defecation, black color (cancer and tumor patients have black stool), thick and sticky (cannot be flushed away with water), long defecation time, and more toilet paper (indicates that there are more toxins in our body);

2. Poor appetite (no appetite), loss of appetite, dry mouth, and thick tongue coating indicate that there are too many wastes in the body;

3. Excessive waste, easy fatigue, easy cold, repeated colds;

4. Shortness of breath, fatigue, poor spirit, unclear mind, insomnia and frequent dreams;

5. Massage, cupping, patting, and scraping can easily cause sha spots and lumps (sha is a manifestation of waste accumulation, and scraping is to scrape out the waste);

6. Prone to skin allergies, skin pigmentation, age spots, freckles, chloasma, leukoplakia, and blood moles;

7. Feeling cold when eating cold food and hot when eating hot food. Being afraid of cold in winter and heat in summer. Being unable to be nourished due to weak constitution. This is also a problem of waste accumulation. The best way is to clean it up;

8. Long-term mental and physical labor, work stress, depression, and lack of sleep;

9. Frequent feeling of low fever. “If there are blue veins across the bridge of the nose, you will cry three times for no reason.” Because blue veins on the bridge of the nose indicate poor digestive function of the spleen and stomach. Before the age of three, look at the bridge of the nose, and when the child grows up, look at the blue veins on the thenar eminence and the back of the hand.
