Is lung cancer pathological section harmful?

At present, lung cancer pathological biopsy is relatively safe and generally does not pose any life-threatening risk. Of course, the level of the specific doctor and the equipment of the hospital are also critical. You must do the relevant examinations in a regular hospital. Pathological examination is the most accurate and reliable method for diagnosing lung cancer.

A type of pathological examination, a pathological morphological method used to examine pathological changes in organs, tissues or cells of the body. In order to explore the disease process occurring in organs, tissues or cells, a certain pathological morphological examination method can be used to examine the lesions that occur in them, explore the causes, pathogenesis, and development of the lesions, and finally make a pathological diagnosis. The pathological morphological examination method first observes the pathological changes of the gross specimen, then cuts a certain size of the lesion tissue, uses the pathological histological method to make a pathological section, and further examines the lesion under a microscope.

The commonly used biopsy now refers to taking a small piece of tissue from the lesion site of the patient's body (depending on the situation, it can be done by forceps, resection or puncture aspiration) or surgical resection specimens to make pathological sections, observing the morphological and structural changes of cells and tissues to determine the nature of the lesion and make a pathological diagnosis. This is called biopsy, or biopsy for short. This is a commonly used and relatively accurate method for diagnosing tumors. In recent years, due to the continuous improvement of various endoscopes (such as fiber gastroscopes, fiber colonoscopes, fiber bronchoscopes, etc.) and imaging diagnostic technologies, not only can the appearance of certain internal tumors be directly observed, but also samples can be accurately obtained under their guidance, further improving the positive rate of early diagnosis.
