What department should I go to for premature graying of hair

Premature graying of hair can actually have a great impact on a person's appearance, especially for younger patients. It will be very distressing. This disease mainly occurs among teenagers. Apart from the graying of hair, there are actually no other symptoms. Therefore, when it occurs, you should go to the hospital for examination in time, and take targeted treatment measures after finding the cause of the disease.

⒈ Onset in adolescence or young adulthood.

⒉ Initially, there are a few sparsely scattered white hairs, most of which first appear on the back or top of the scalp, mixed in with the black hair and appear gray.

⒊ Subsequently, the number of white hairs may gradually or suddenly increase, but not all of them will turn white. For some people, the number of white hairs remains the same for a long time without increasing.

⒋ Generally no subjective symptoms.

⒌ Sudden onset may be related to nutritional disorders.

⒍ For some patients, the number of gray hairs decreases or even disappears unknowingly after the inducing factors are eliminated.

⒎ For some people, even their beards turn white, which Chinese medicine calls premature graying of hair and beard.

Experts have not yet discovered the gene site that causes the disease, nor have they found a completely effective treatment method.

⒈ Western medicine calls it premature aging, a graying hair disease in children and young people. Its cause is very complicated. There are two major types, one is congenital premature graying of hair and the other is acquired premature graying of hair. Many acquired premature graying of hair occur along with certain diseases, while some are caused by excessive mental stress and malnutrition.

Acquired premature graying of hair. There are many causes: malnutrition, such as lack of protein, vitamins and certain trace elements (such as copper), can cause hair to turn white; certain chronic wasting diseases such as tuberculosis, due to nutritional deficiencies, hair turns white earlier than ordinary people; some patients with long-term fever will have yellow and brittle hair or even turn white and fall out; some endocrine diseases, such as pituitary or thyroid diseases, can affect the ability of pigment cells to produce pigment particles and cause hair to turn white prematurely; encephalitis, nervous system diseases, etc. can also cause hair to turn white

The skin, hair and eyebrows of people with albinism are all white. If vitiligo, a disease that causes skin whitening, occurs on the scalp, the hair will also turn white. Some people believe that the more you use your brain, the earlier your hair will turn white. For some young people, a large amount of hair turns white in a short period of time, which is related to serious mental trauma such as excessive anxiety and sadness, or mental fatigue.

As for congenital premature aging, most of them are caused by genetics. For example, hereditary progeroid disease, Bucco's syndrome and Werdenburg syndrome often have a history of inheritance for several generations in the family. Genetic defects and albinism are also congenital genetic diseases. Except for acquired abnormalities which are acquired local skin diseases and most of them can return to normal after months and years, the causes of these premature graying diseases are all due to genetic gene mutations that lead to complete (such as albinism) or partial obstruction of the body's tyrosine metabolism pathway.

If children and young people are found to have premature graying of hair, they should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. Once the cause of the disease is confirmed, premature graying of hair can be cured as long as the cause is eradicated.
