How to treat pharyngeal stenosis

Pharyngeal stenosis is a disease that generally does not cause any symptoms when it is not in an attack. However, patients will feel difficulty breathing when exercising, which will affect the quality of sleep. Patients with severe conditions cannot fall asleep. At the same time, it will reduce appetite and increase blood pressure. Therefore, everyone must take precautions to minimize the occurrence of colds. So how to treat pharyngeal stenosis?

First, how to treat pharyngeal stenosis? Organic lesions of the oropharynx can also cause oropharyngeal stenosis, such as tumors of the soft palate and tonsils, oropharyngeal lymphoma, squamous cell carcinoma, etc. Tumors originating from the parapharyngeal space can also cause oropharyngeal stenosis. This study does not include oropharyngeal stenosis caused by oropharyngeal or parapharyngeal tumor lesions. Laryngeal stenosis refers to the narrowing of the laryngeal cavity, which affects the breathing and vocal functions, and its causes are complex. The main clinical manifestations include hoarseness, laryngeal wheezing, cough, and dyspnea. Generally, laryngeal stenosis is treated with surgical methods. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for examination and treatment. Don't be too nervous and eliminate psychological shadows.

Second, nasopharyngeal stenosis is often caused by congenital factors. The nasopharynx refers to the part above the palatine velum plane, which extends forward through the posterior nasal foramen to the nasal cavity. On its side wall, just behind the inferior turbinate, there is a pharyngeal opening of the Eustachian tube, which connects to the tympanic cavity of the middle ear. There is an arc-shaped protrusion in front, above and behind the pharyngeal opening of the Eustachian tube called the Eustachian tube occipital. The longitudinal deep pit between the back of the Eustachian tube occipital and the posterior pharyngeal wall is called the pharyngeal recess, which is a common site for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. There is abundant lymphoid tissue in the mucosa of the posterior upper wall of the nasopharynx, called pharyngeal tonsils, which are more developed in childhood. It begins to atrophy after the age of 6 to 7 and almost completely degenerates after the age of 10.

How to treat pharyngeal stenosis? Pay attention to climate changes, prevent colds, keep your nose and throat clean, and avoid viral infections. Try to avoid breathing in harmful fumes, such as kerosene lamp gas, insecticide aerosols, etc., and actively quit smoking and drinking. If you have nasopharyngeal diseases, you should seek medical treatment as soon as possible. If you find blood in your nasal discharge or blood in your nasal discharge after sneezing, or if you have unexplained swollen lymph nodes in the neck or fluid in the middle ear, you should have a detailed nasopharyngeal examination in time.
