Treatment options for advanced kidney cancer

Treatment options for advanced kidney cancer: Kidney cancer is the second most common malignant tumor of the urinary system after bladder cancer. It is highly malignant and develops rapidly. Most cases are already in the middle and late stages when they are treated, which seriously threatens people's lives and quality of life. Through continuous exploration of the treatment field by medical researchers, new breakthroughs have been made in the selection of treatment options for kidney cancer, and new special therapies have emerged.

The traditional treatment for middle and late stage renal cancer is renal artery embolization chemotherapy + immune drug therapy (interleukin-2, etc.). Renal cancer is special and is not sensitive to radiotherapy, chemotherapy or hormone therapy, and has a high chance of recurrence after surgery. Renal artery embolization is only a palliative treatment, which can only provide some patients with a second surgery opportunity, but most patients can only relieve symptoms and cannot undergo radical treatment. Although the commonly used immune drugs interleukin-2 and interferon in clinical practice can shrink renal cancer, only 10 to 20 percent of patients respond to these drugs, and the side effects are relatively serious.
Argon-helium knife minimally invasive treatment is a physical therapy that inactivates cancer cells by alternating between hot and cold. Cancer cells in tumor tissue are completely destroyed and killed in the rapid changes of hot and cold in a very short time, thus achieving the purpose of treatment. This process is precisely controlled by a computer and only targets tumor tissue without damaging normal tissue.
