The dangers of brain cancer that cannot be ignored

As our lives continue to expand, we are getting busier and busier. Coupled with the adverse stimulation of the external environment, more and more people have suffered from cancer in recent years. Among them, the number of patients with brain tumors has also increased significantly. Many brain tumor patients are children or young people.

1. Blindness: Not many people go blind suddenly due to brain tumors. Often, vision loss occurs first. If it is not treated promptly and effectively, it will gradually develop into blindness. Some children, and even a few people, ignore the loss of vision on one side. When the doctor examines, he finds that one eye is blind. Some patients, especially the elderly, have eye diseases accompanied by brain tumors. When vision changes, they mistakenly think it is an eye disease, delay treatment, and develop blindness. Common tumors include craniopharyngioma, pituitary adenoma, meningioma, glioma, and high intracranial pressure caused by brain tumors.
2. Adult epilepsy: The occurrence of epilepsy is related to the type and location of brain tumors. Generally speaking, tumors that grow in the front half of the brain and close to the cerebral cortex are prone to epilepsy, that is, slow-growing, expansive tumors (such as oligodendroglioma, astrocytoma, meningioma, etc.) have a higher incidence of epilepsy. Most of the above types of tumors are benign or not highly malignant, and the location of occurrence is also easy to surgically remove. If they can be diagnosed and operated on early, satisfactory results can be achieved.
3. Protrusion of one eye: At the beginning of brain tumor formation, in addition to the sudden decrease in vision mentioned above, protrusion of one eyeball forward is also a major ominous sign of this disease. This type of patient has one eyeball protruding forward, and in severe cases, the eyelid may not close completely. Clinical data statistics show that about 50% of brain tumor patients with unilateral protrusion of the eyeball are caused by intracranial diseases, among which the most common cause is brain tumor.
