There are many kinds of ovarian gynecological diseases, the most serious of which is ovarian cancer. However, with the current level of medical technology, as long as patients are willing to actively cooperate with the treatment and pay attention to physical care after surgery, there is no way to treat ovarian cancer. So, how to check for ovarian cancer? 1. Ultrasound examination: B-ultrasound can understand the size, shape, cysticity, benign or malignant nature of pelvic masses, and the presence or absence of ascites, and can clearly distinguish the differences between healthy tissue, fluid-filled cysts, and tumor tissue. 2. Pelvic examination: This includes checking the uterus, vagina, ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder and rectum to see if there are any abnormalities such as shape, size, swelling, benign or malignant. During the pelvic examination, doctors usually do a cervical smear, which can diagnose cervical cancer early, but it is not a reliable method for early diagnosis of ovarian cancer. 3. Immunological diagnosis: How to check for ovarian cancer? Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is significantly elevated in epithelial ovarian cancer, especially mucinous cancer, and is of reference value. Elevated alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) helps in the diagnosis of ovarian endodermal sinus tumor. The use of monoclonal antibodies and polyclonal antibodies such as CA-125 for epithelial ovarian cancer can help in early diagnosis. CA-125 analysis of the tumor marker CA-125 in the blood of ovarian cancer patients is often higher than that of normal women. 4. Laparoscopy or laparotomy: It can directly observe the pathological changes and scope of the pelvic cavity and perform biopsy. Pathological biopsy is performed through laparotomy to obtain pathological tissue and observe and analyze it under a microscope. If cancer is suspected, the surgeon will perform an oophorectomy to remove the entire ovary. This is very important because if it is cancer, cutting the outer membrane of the ovary when taking tissue samples can easily cause cancer cells to spread into the abdominal cavity, so it must be completely removed after cancer is detected. How to check for ovarian cancer? Ovarian cancer is common in daily life and has a long course, so it brings great inconvenience to the lives of ovarian cancer patients. With the current medical level, ovarian cancer patients do not need to worry too much. |
