Non-small cell lung cancer drugs

Non-small cell lung cancer drugs? Non-small cell lung cancer refers to squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and large cell carcinoma. Compared with small cell carcinoma, its cancer cells grow and divide more slowly, and spread and metastasize relatively late. Treatment of non-small cell lung cancer: The treatment of non-small cell lung cancer should be carried out according to the clinical staging of lung cancer. For stage I, II, and IIIA, surgical resection is the main treatment. For patients with significant lymph node metastasis, chemotherapy or radiotherapy can be used before surgery.

There are several targeted drugs for non-small cell lung cancer

The first category is epidermal growth factor inhibitors. Commonly used drugs are Tarceva and Iressa. Its main mechanism is to bind to specific targets (epidermal growth factor receptor, EGFR), activate the corresponding signal pathway, and ultimately achieve the effect of controlling the growth of lung cancer.

The second category is anti-angiogenesis inhibitors, such as Avastin. Its main mechanism is to block the formation of new blood vessels in tumors, so that tumor growth lacks sufficient nutrition, and at most achieves the purpose of starving the tumor to death. Currently, these two types of drugs are widely used in clinical practice and have been established as one of the standard treatment options by the United States Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Institute.

The third category is immune targeted drugs, which are currently under clinical research but have already shown good therapeutic effects with fewer adverse reactions.

The specific molecular targeted drugs that should be used must be used under the guidance of an oncologist. Do not buy drugs on the Internet. Because, on the one hand, the quality of the drugs is difficult to guarantee, and more importantly, once the drugs are ineffective, they have certain adverse reactions. Special examples include: some patients have a history of interstitial lung disease, but the patients use targeted drugs without genetic testing, the efficacy is poor and the interstitial disease worsens.
