Is there any targeted drug for gallbladder cancer

Is there any targeted drug for gallbladder cancer

Most gallbladder cancers found clinically are in the middle and late stages, with a low cure rate. Comprehensive treatment with surgery as the mainstay is still the mainstay of treatment for primary gallbladder cancer. Molecular biology and gene therapy are gradually developing into new methods for treating primary gallbladder cancer, and have shown good application prospects. So are there any targeted drugs for gallbladder cancer?

There is no approved targeted drug for gallbladder cancer. You may try targeted drugs for liver cancer, or some targeted drugs under development if there are channels. Generally, treatment is based on the primary lesion, but it is worth trying if there is no plan.
The chemotherapy effect of gallbladder cancer is poor. There is still no truly effective chemotherapy regimen. Currently, the most commonly introduced treatments are still the combination treatments of commonly used drugs for digestive tract tumors such as fluorouracil (5-FU), doxorubicin (ADM) and mitomycin (MMC), but the overall efficacy is not ideal. In terms of radiotherapy, the development of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) and inverse intensity modulated radiotherapy or conformal intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) technology has improved the effect of tumor treatment. In recent years, heavy ion accelerators have been used to treat tumors with very obvious results, but the cost of treatment is relatively expensive.
