The symptom of urinary incontinence mainly occurs in the elderly. This is mainly because this situation is caused by viral infection. It may also be caused by uncontrolled urination due to bladder rupture. Therefore, for urinary incontinence, we can understand its type of occurrence, and then according to these symptoms, we choose the corresponding treatment method, and pay attention to the hygiene of the ureter. What are the types of urinary incontinence? True urinary incontinence Also known as complete urinary incontinence, it refers to the continuous outflow of urine from the bladder and the bladder is empty. Common causes are damage to the bladder neck and urethral sphincter caused by trauma, surgery or congenital diseases. It can also be seen in female urethral ectopic surgery, vesicovaginal fistula, etc. Overflow incontinence Also known as pseudo-incontinence, it refers to complete decompensation of bladder function, overfilling of the bladder, and continuous urine overflow. It is caused by chronic urinary retention due to severe mechanical (such as prostatic hyperplasia) or functional obstruction of the lower urinary tract. When the intra-bladder pressure rises to a certain level and exceeds the urethral resistance, urine continuously drips out of the urethra. The bladder of these patients is in a distended state. Non-resistance urinary incontinence Non-resistance urinary incontinence is due to the complete loss of urethral resistance, the bladder cannot store urine, and all urine flows out of the urethra when the patient stands. Reflex incontinence Reflex incontinence is caused by a complete upper motor neuron lesion. Urinating depends on a spinal reflex. The patient urinates intermittently (intermittent incontinence) involuntarily and has no feeling of urination. Urge incontinence Urge urinary incontinence can be caused by strong local stimulation such as partial upper motor neuron disease or acute cystitis, and patients have very serious symptoms of frequent urination and urgency. Urinary incontinence occurs due to strong, uninhibited contractions of the detrusor muscle. Usually secondary to a serious infection of the bladder. Stress Urinary Incontinence Stress urinary incontinence is the leakage of urine from the urethra when abdominal pressure increases (such as when coughing, sneezing, climbing stairs, or running). The causes of this type of urinary incontinence are complex and require detailed examination. It mainly occurs in women, especially those who have given birth multiple times or have had birth injuries, and occasionally in women who have not yet given birth. Warm reminder: The above is an introduction to the types of urinary incontinence. Patients with urinary incontinence should be optimistic and open-minded, face the success, failure, pressure and troubles in life and work with a positive and peaceful attitude, and learn to adjust their mood and emotions.
