Patients with cystitis are prone to frequent urination and urgency. Experts point out that from some perspectives, these symptoms are actually a good thing, because patients can judge that there is something wrong with their body and go to the hospital for a physical examination. Generally speaking, the hospital will use urography to check whether the patient has cystitis. What tests are needed for cystitis? 1. Urinary tract angiography: Chronic cystitis manifests as reduced bladder volume and rough or irregular bladder edges, which can be accurately detected through urinary tract angiography. 2. X-ray examination: If kidney infection or other urogenital tract abnormalities are suspected, an X-ray examination is required. For patients with Proteus infection, if the treatment effect is poor or no effect at all, an X-ray examination should be performed to determine whether there is urinary tract stones. 3. CT examination: CT examination is also one of the means to diagnose cystitis. CT examination shows that chronic cystitis is characterized by extensive and irregular thickening of the bladder wall, shrinkage of the bladder, and rough inner and outer edges. In gangrenous cystitis, gas in the bladder and inflammatory exudate in the pelvic cavity can also be seen. 4. Laboratory examination: Normal blood picture or slight increase in white blood cells. Urinalysis often shows pyuria or bacteriuria, and sometimes macroscopic hematuria or microscopic hematuria can be found. Urine culture can detect pathogenic bacteria. If there are no other urinary diseases, serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen are normal. The examination items required for cystitis may vary in each hospital and each region. Patients do not need to worry. They just need to follow the doctor's advice and maintain a healthy attitude. Although cystitis is a disease with a high recurrence rate, recurrence can be avoided if patients take proper care. Through microscopic examination, the severity of the patient's cystitis can also be preliminarily determined. In the treatment of cystitis, the medication must be targeted so that the pathogenic bacteria of cystitis can be killed, because there is not only one kind of pathogenic bacteria, and only the right medicine can be effective. |
