What are the examination items for testicular cancer patients

As there are more and more testicular cancer patients now, many patients diagnosed with testicular cancer always feel that the examinations done by the hospital are too many. Are these all the items that need to be examined for testicular cancer? This question confuses many testicular cancer patients, so today we will take you to understand what are the examination items for testicular cancer patients?

1. Ultrasound: B-ultrasound examination can accurately distinguish the size, shape, and presence of lumps of the testicles. It can also distinguish whether the swollen testicles are caused by inflammation, tissue edema, or tumors. It can also detect whether there are metastatic tumors behind the peritoneum.

2. Auxiliary examinations: such as chest and bone X-rays, CT scans, radionuclide scanning, pyelography, experimental biochemical immunoassays, and even lymph node angiography, to observe or infer the scope and extent of metastasis.

3. Biopsy: A biopsy is the only test that can confirm the presence of cancer. In most cases, when doing a biopsy, the doctor makes an incision in the groin and removes the entire affected testicle. This procedure is called a radical inguinal orchiectomy.

4. Other examinations: In addition to examining the scrotum, other parts of the body should also be carefully examined, especially the abdomen for lumps, whether the liver is enlarged, whether there is edema in the lower limbs, and whether there is enlargement of the supraclavicular lymph nodes. As long as the examination is careful and thorough, the diagnosis will not be difficult.

The above are the routine examination items that need to be done for the diagnosis of testicular cancer. Only through these necessary examinations can it be accurately diagnosed whether or not you have testicular cancer. Therefore, patients also need to understand that various diseases are now more complicated, so doing necessary diagnostic examinations is the most effective way to diagnose testicular cancer.
