What is the cause of egg shrinkage

What is the cause of egg shrinkage

In fact, the quality of the eggs discharged from the female body directly determines the quality of the fertilized eggs. And during a woman's lifetime, the number of eggs released from her body is not as many as the number of sperms released from a man. There is a certain limit to the number of eggs released from a woman's body. A small number of women will be detected with egg shrinkage during the process of preparing for pregnancy, so what are the causes of egg shrinkage in a woman?

What causes egg shrinkage?

1. Endocrine disorders. Endocrine disorders in women lead to insufficient hormone secretion, which prevents the follicles from developing and growing, resulting in symptoms of follicle atrophy. The follicles are unable to ovulate, leading to female infertility.

2. Ovulation disorders: Female luteal insufficiency, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease and other diseases can cause female ovulation disorders. The follicles cannot be discharged, causing the follicles to atrophy.

The menstrual cycle is generally 32 days, and the 13th day should not be the time of ovulation. Generally, the follicle will rupture when it grows to about 1.8-2.5. If the follicle does not rupture but atrophies, it is a manifestation of luteinized follicle, and an endocrine examination is needed to determine the cause. Because there are many endocrine factors that cause follicular atrophy. The main problem is that estrogen levels cannot be raised, and endometrial thickening also indicates problems with hormone levels. If the follicles are indeed unable to be discharged and have atrophied, an endocrine examination should be done to find the cause, and then treatment should be given according to the cause to achieve the best results.

How to improve egg quality

1. Control the childbearing age. The egg has been with a woman since birth, and lifestyle, environment, and age will all affect the quality of the egg. According to women's physiological laws, their fertility is strongest at the age of 25, slowly declines after the age of 30, and rapidly declines after the age of 35. So try not to get pregnant late.

2. Adjust your mood. According to research, when stress persists or occurs frequently, the body produces a large amount of an "anxiety hormone" called cortisone, which increases the feeling of tension. Excessive secretion of a single hormone disrupts the original hormone balance, leading to endocrine disorders and affecting the ovarian's ability to ovulate. Therefore, reducing stress and relieving tension in moderation can effectively ensure a good pregnancy.

3. Avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation. Sexual intercourse during menstruation can stimulate the body to produce anti-sperm antibodies, causing pelvic infection, endometriosis, etc., and reducing egg vitality. Therefore, you should never have sex during your menstrual period.

4. Nutritious diet. Try to quit smoking and drinking, avoid overeating and nutritional imbalance. In daily life, you should also eat more black beans, soy milk, and boiled fish soup. Black beans can prevent premature ovarian failure, and soy milk can effectively adjust the endocrine system to avoid endocrine disorders affecting ovulation; boiled fish soup can promote follicle development, which is beneficial for women to eliminate dominant follicles.

5. Exercise and fitness. Appropriate physical exercise can help women improve their physical fitness and ensure the quality of eggs. Therefore, any woman who is planning to get pregnant should engage in regular exercise for a period of time before becoming pregnant.

6. Avoid external stimulation. The toxicity of cigarettes can directly affect the eggs, causing you to enter menopause early. Long-term smoking will damage the body's entire hormone system and affect the function of the ovaries. Drinking, insomnia and irregular diet can have serious negative effects on women's reproductive health, leading to a decline in both egg quality and ability to conceive. After an artificial abortion, pregnancy is suddenly interrupted and hormone levels in the body drop sharply, thus affecting the internal living environment of the egg and affecting the quality and vitality of the egg.
