Sitting in the office for a long time can lead to a high incidence of cervical cancer. What are the other causes of cervical cancer?

According to statistics from the World Health Organization, women with cervical erosion are 5 to 10 times more likely to develop cervical cancer than ordinary women. The incidence of cervical cancer is second only to breast cancer and ranks second among various malignant tumors in women. Therefore, it is very important for women to protect their cervix.

Women in the office who sit still for long periods of time cannot protect their genitals, which will "damage" their cervix and make them susceptible to cervical cancer. In daily life, many bad habits of women will damage the cervix.

Sitting for a long time can easily cause congestion in the female pelvis, leading to poor blood circulation in the appendages and cervix, and poor air permeability in the genitals. These two reasons are prone to infection, leading to cervicitis, cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, etc.

In addition, the cervix itself does not feel pain, because the cervical nerves are dominated by the visceral nervous system and are insensitive to pain. Therefore, after inflammation and other discomforts, women themselves often cannot discover them in time and they are easily ignored.

In fact, the more private, the more ventilation is needed. In addition to long-term sitting, which will make the vagina less breathable, sanitary pads will also make the vagina less breathable, leading to cervical infection, so do not use pads for a long time to protect

Cervical cancer is a common disease among women, mostly occurring between the ages of 40 and 60, and seriously threatening women's health and even their lives. So why do women pay so much attention to cervical cancer?

(1) Reasons of marriage and childbirth. The vast majority of cervical cancer patients are married women, which is rare in unmarried women, especially nuns. Some people believe that sperm is one of the causes of cervical cancer. Semen has a strong mutation-promoting effect on the squamous epithelium of the cervix. Especially for adolescent women, the cervical epithelium is in a highly sensitive period, and the inducement of semen is more dangerous. In addition, according to epidemiological surveys, only 10% of nulliparous women suffer from cervical cancer; premature birth has a high incidence of cervical cancer. This may be related to the fact that women are prone to tearing and damaging the cervix during childbirth, low immune function during pregnancy, and cervical epithelial cells are susceptible to external pathogenic factors. Therefore, the number of childbirths also has a certain impact on the occurrence of cervical cancer.

(2) Various pathogens are closely related to cervical cancer, especially human papillomavirus (HPV), herpes simplex virus-2 (HSV-2), human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).

(3) Inflammation and trauma of the cervix The presence of cervical erosion and the trauma of childbirth can aggravate reproductive tract infection and increase the risk of cervical cancer.

(4) Sexual promiscuity and STDs Some surveys and studies have shown that sexual promiscuity plays an important role in the etiology of cervical cancer. The risk of cervical cancer increases 10 times for those who start having sex before the age of 15 or have more than 6 sexual partners. Male sexual promiscuity also increases the risk of cervical cancer in their spouses.

(5) Epidemiological surveys in recent years have shown that smokers have a two-fold increased risk of cervical cancer, and smoking increases the risk of HPV. The amount of smoking is positively correlated with the risk of cervical cancer.

(6) Some studies suggest that penile smegma, sex hormone disorders, vaginal Trichomonas infection, syphilis and gonorrhea are related to the occurrence of cervical cancer, but these studies need further confirmation.
