What should we pay attention to in preventing cervical cancer? What are the causes of cervical cancer?

The cause of cervical cancer is closely related to sexual behavior. The earlier and more chaotic the sexual life is, the higher the chance of cervical cancer. Surveys show that if a woman has her first sexual intercourse before the age of 18, her incidence of cervical cancer and tumors is 3 to 25 times higher than her first sexual intercourse after the age of 20. This is because the cervical epithelium is immature during adolescence, has poor resistance, and the immune system is easily stimulated by carcinogenic and tumor factors.

If a woman or her spouse has multiple extramarital partners, the risk of cervical cancer and tumors is 2 to 3 times that of a fixed partner, because the more sexual partners, the greater the chance of persistent infection with the original human papillomavirus (HPV), herpes virus and human cytomegalovirus, and the higher the chance of getting sick.

Another risk factor for female cervical cancer is the patient's mother. Long-term use of contraceptives or estrogen with high progesterone content makes girls more likely to develop cervical cancer and tumors. In addition, chronic cervicitis, long-term unhealed cervical warts, smoking, insufficient intake of carotene, vitamin A and C, etc. are also inseparable from cervical cancer and tumors.

In order to prevent cervical cancer, we should start with sexual life, which should not be too early or too chaotic. Regular gynecological examinations can prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer and tumors. Only with early detection can treatment achieve ideal results. Women should take the initiative to go to the hospital for cervical disease screening from the age of 25, with an interval of 2 to 3 years each time. In daily life, do not underestimate special situations such as chronic cervical inflammation and vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, which may be signs of cancer and tumor pre-maturity.
