How to prevent metastatic liver cancer? This can prevent metastatic liver cancer

Metastatic liver cancer is caused by the metastasis of cancer from various organs throughout the body to the liver. Since the liver receives dual blood supply from the hepatic artery and portal vein, the blood flow is extremely rich, and most malignant tumors from various organs throughout the body can metastasize to the liver. In areas with low incidence of primary liver cancer, such as North America and northwestern Europe, the incidence of secondary liver cancer is relatively high, 13 to 64 times that of primary liver cancer. The two are relatively close in China. Secondary liver cancer is sometimes difficult to distinguish from primary liver cancer. When the primary cancer lesion is relatively hidden, early diagnosis of subclinical secondary liver cancer is more difficult.

Data from recent years have shown that if secondary liver cancer can be detected and treated early, surgical resection can achieve significant results in cure or prolongation of life, so a positive attitude should be maintained towards the diagnosis and treatment of secondary liver cancer.

Symptoms and signs of metastatic liver cancer:

The clinical manifestations of secondary liver cancer are similar to those of primary liver cancer, but because there is no cirrhosis, it often develops slower than the latter and the symptoms are milder. In the early stage, the main symptoms are the symptoms of the primary lesion, and the symptoms of the liver itself are not obvious. Most of them are found during preoperative examination, postoperative follow-up or laparotomy of the primary cancer. As the disease progresses and the tumor grows, the symptoms of the liver gradually appear, such as pain in the liver area, stuffy discomfort, fatigue, weight loss, fever, loss of appetite and upper abdominal mass. In the late stage, jaundice, ascites, and cachexia appear. There are also a small number of patients (mainly from the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, etc.) with obvious symptoms of liver metastasis, while the primary lesion is hidden and not obvious.
