What factors are likely to lead to lung cancer? Stay away from the three major causes of lung cancer

According to research, the biggest culprit of lung cancer is smoking. Everyone knows that smoking is harmful to health, but they still can't control it. So, apart from smoking, what other reasons are there for lung cancer? Now let me explain to you what factors may cause lung cancer.

1. Stimulation from chronic lung lesions or scar tissue is also one of the pathogenic factors of lung cancer. The incidence of lung cancer in patients with chronic bronchitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, and diffuse pulmonary interstitial fibrosis is higher than that in the normal population. According to research, the incidence of lung cancer in patients with chronic bronchitis is about 1 times higher than that in those without chronic bronchitis. Adenocarcinoma can occur in lung scars caused by healed tuberculosis lesions.

2. Occupational factors: Long-term exposure to radioactive substances such as uranium, radium and their derivatives, carcinogenic hydrocarbons such as arsenic, chromium, nickel, copper, tin, iron, coal tar, asphalt, petroleum, asbestos, mustard gas and other substances can induce lung cancer, mainly squamous cell carcinoma and undifferentiated small cell carcinoma.

3. Air pollution: The incidence of lung cancer is high in industrially developed countries, higher in cities than in rural areas, and higher in factory and mining areas than in residential areas. The main reason is that in industrially and transportation-developed areas, the combustion of petroleum, coal, and internal combustion engines, as well as asphalt road dust, produces harmful substances that pollute the atmosphere, including carcinogenic hydrocarbons such as benzopyrene.

In addition, the causative factors of lung cancer also include viral infection, fungal toxins (aflatoxin), vitamin A deficiency, low immune status, endocrine disorders and family inheritance, activation of oncogenes such as gene mutation, amplification, overexpression, and deletion and mutation of tumor suppressor genes, loss of the ability to balance cell regulation, etc., which may play a comprehensive role in promoting the occurrence of lung cancer.

The occurrence of lung cancer brings great harm and impact to patients, so it is recommended that you take active measures to prevent lung cancer and try to smoke less or not smoke to reduce the incidence of lung cancer. To make your life longer, you can only develop good living habits.
