What are the symptoms of patients with advanced lung cancer? Introduction to 6 symptoms of advanced lung cancer

Lung cancer is very common in our lives. Many lung cancer patients miss the best treatment opportunity because they have not found the right treatment method, which makes the disease worse. So, what are the symptoms of advanced lung cancer? Let's take a look at the relevant introduction!

1. Lump

Cancer cells are formed by the malignant proliferation and can be felt by hand on the surface or deep inside the body. Thyroid, parotid or breast cancer can be felt in the shallow part of the skin. Tumor metastasis to lymph nodes can cause lymph node enlargement. Some superficial lymph nodes, such as cervical lymph nodes and axillary lymph nodes, are easy to feel.

2. Pain

The appearance of pain often indicates that the cancer has entered the middle or late stages. At first, it is usually dull pain or dull pain, which is more obvious at night. Later, it gradually worsens and becomes unbearable, day and night. Severe pain is a symptom of late-stage lung cancer before death. If it occurs, it is generally controlled by drugs. Pain is generally caused by cancer cells invading the nerves. Many patients with advanced lung cancer will feel extremely painful, and even taking medicine does not work.

3. Hoarseness

The recurrent laryngeal nerve that controls the left side of the voice function goes down from the neck to the chest, bypasses the large blood vessels of the heart and goes back up to the larynx, thus controlling the left side of the voice organ. Therefore, if the tumor invades the left side of the mediastinum and compresses the recurrent laryngeal nerve, hoarseness will occur, but there will be no sore throat or other symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection.

4. Bleeding

It is caused by cancer tissue invading blood vessels or rupture of small blood vessels in cancer tissue. For example, patients with advanced lung cancer may cough up blood and have blood in their sputum; patients with stomach, colon, and esophageal cancer (esophageal cancer: a malignant tumor that occurs in the epithelial tissue of the esophagus, which can be cured in the early and middle stages but is more difficult to cure in the late stages) may have blood in their stools.

5. Ulcers

It is caused by the rapid growth of cancerous tissues in some surface cancers, insufficient nutrition supply, and tissue necrosis. For example, some breast cancers may cause crater-like or cauliflower-like ulcers in the breast, secreting bloody secretions, and may have a foul odor when complicated by infection. In addition, stomach and colon cancers can also form ulcers, which can generally only be observed through gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

6. Shortness of breath, pleural effusion

Almost all patients with advanced lung cancer that has spread regionally experience shortness of breath to varying degrees. Normal tissue fluid produced by the lungs and myocardium is returned by the lymph nodes in the middle of the chest. If these lymph nodes are blocked by tumors, this tissue fluid will accumulate in the pericardium to form pericardial effusion or accumulate in the chest cavity to form pleural effusion. Both of these situations can cause shortness of breath.

Through the introduction of the above content, I believe that all friends have a better understanding of the relevant symptoms of advanced lung cancer. Only by understanding the corresponding symptoms can we communicate with relevant doctors in time and adjust the treatment plan in time to achieve the best treatment effect of the disease and recover as soon as possible!
