Prostate cancer prognosis

Prostate cancer prognosis

Prostate cancer is a common malignant tumor in urology, often occurring in middle-aged and elderly men. The occurrence of this disease is closely related to race, genetic factors, lifestyle, etc. There are several specific types of this disease, and each type has different sensitivities to different treatments, so determining the type of disease has a great impact on prognosis.

In Europe and the United States, prostate cancer is a common malignant tumor in men, and its mortality rate ranks second. my country is relatively low in incidence of prostate cancer, but the incidence rate has increased slightly in recent years, and the incidence rate in some developed areas has increased by 3.5 times. At present, latent prostate cancer accounts for 20% to 40% of elderly men, and 40% of patients still present with pre-advanced prostate cancer when they seek medical treatment. This difference in biological behavior leads to different responses of individuals to treatment, so accurately judging the type of prostate cancer and choosing the right treatment plan have a great impact on prognosis.

Prostate cancer is a common malignant tumor of the male reproductive system. Current studies have found that the occurrence of the disease is related to the following factors: 1. Disorders in sex hormone levels; 2. Prostate gonorrhea, virus, and chlamydia infection; 3. High-fat diet and excessive drinking; 4. Age factors, all of which are causative factors of prostate cancer.

The disease is asymptomatic in the early stages, but as the disease progresses, clinical manifestations may appear due to the compression of the tumor. Common compression symptoms include progressive dysuria, lack of ejaculation, and pain in the perineum. When the tumor metastasizes, symptoms corresponding to the metastatic site will appear.

The choice of treatment for prostate cancer is closely related to the specific type of cancer and also has a great impact on the prognosis. There are two main treatments. First, radical surgery can be performed for patients with mild disease, while palliative treatment is mostly used for patients in the advanced stage to relieve symptoms. Endocrine therapy for prostate cancer has now developed and matured, and has good efficacy and a good prognosis for many types of cancer.

If a man has progressive dysuria, don't worry too much. Go to the hospital for further examination to determine what disease it is, because diseases such as prostatitis can also cause this symptom. Patients who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer should follow the doctor's advice and cooperate with the doctor to do various examinations to determine the best treatment plan, fight the disease together, and restore health.
