Sitting for a long time increases the risk of uterine cancer. How can women prevent uterine cancer?

Sitting for a long time can cause various "chair diseases". According to a recent report on the US "Health Day" website, sitting for too long is particularly closely related to certain cancers.

Epidemiological researchers at the University of Regensburg in Germany analyzed the lifestyles of nearly 70,000 cancer patients from 43 studies, focusing on the relationship between their daily sitting time (including driving, watching TV, using computers, etc.) and the disease. The results showed that not every type of cancer is related to sitting for a long time, but sitting, especially watching TV for too long, does increase the risk of colon cancer and endometrial cancer. Specifically, people who sit for the longest time have a 24% increased risk of colon cancer; watching TV too long increases the risk by 54%. For endometrial cancer, the risk is even higher. Women who sit for longer periods of time have a 32% increased risk of endometrial cancer, and women who watch the most TV have a 66% increased risk.

The study, published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, explains that watching TV is more harmful than regular sitting because people tend to eat unhealthy snacks and drinks while watching TV, which "combines" various cancer risk factors.

In life, what health care measures should female friends take to prevent uterine cancer?

1. Diet and health care

1. Eat a light diet and avoid mutton, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, black fish and other irritating foods. Avoid spicy food and drinks such as chili pepper, pepper, raw onion, raw garlic, white wine, etc. Avoid longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, royal jelly and other foods that are hot, coagulant and contain vegetarian ingredients.

2. Patients with uterine cancer often eat nutritious dried fruits, such as peanuts, sesame seeds, melon seeds, etc.

3. Adhere to a low-fat diet. Uterine cancer patients should eat more lean meat, eggs, quail eggs, crucian carp, turtle, white fish, cabbage, asparagus, celery, spinach, cucumber, winter melon, mushrooms, tofu, kelp, seaweed, fruits, etc. Eat more whole grains such as corn and beans.

4. Avoid greasy, fried, moldy, pickled and spicy foods.

5. Avoid warm foods such as mutton, leek, dog meat, pepper, ginger, cinnamon, etc., and avoid irritating foods such as rooster.

2. Living Environment and Habits

1. Avoid unclean sexual intercourse and improper sexual relations. Patients with active genital herpes are absolutely prohibited from having sexual relations with anyone.

2. Sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment, and the spouse should also be examined if necessary.

3. When caring for local damage, pay attention to keeping it clean and dry to prevent secondary infection.

4. If the disease relapses after treatment, you should take precautions against colds, chills, fatigue and other triggering factors.

3. Actively treat early precancerous lesions

1. Lose weight. Obesity is one of the main factors causing uterine cancer. Excessive body fat in obese people not only increases the storage of estrogen, but also increases the synthesis of estrone, which is considered to be a carcinogenic factor for endometrial cancer. Therefore, if your weight increases by 22 kg continuously in a short period of time, or exceeds 40% of your normal weight (considered a warning value), you should pay attention to controlling your weight.

2. Actively treat diabetes, which can increase the risk of uterine cancer. For patients with diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, the risk of uterine cancer is 2.8 times higher than that of normal people, and a considerable proportion of patients with endometrial cancer are also diabetic.

3. Actively treat hypertension. In a survey of endometrial cancer patients, it was found that about 1/3 of them suffered from hypertension, and the risk of endometrial cancer in hypertensive patients is often 1.5 times higher than that of the normal population.

Expert Tips: We all know the harmfulness of uterine cancer, so we should do relevant preventive work. If we want to effectively prevent uterine cancer, we must carry out systematic and regular treatment and change our lifestyle habits to target the basic causes of the disease, so as to eliminate or control the basic factors of the disease.
