A more obvious sign of colon cancer

Bowel cancer usually refers to colorectal cancer, which is a malignant tumor that originates in the colon or rectum. Colorectal cancer usually originates in the glandular cells in the colon or rectum and can gradually spread to the surrounding tissues and nearby lymph nodes. There are many signs of colorectal cancer, so there is no most obvious sign. Signs of colorectal cancer generally include weight loss, anemia, changes in bowel habits, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding or increased mucus secretion. The specific introduction is as follows:

1. Weight loss: Colorectal cancer is a wasting disease. As the disease progresses, cancer cells continue to proliferate in the body and consume a large amount of nutrients, leading to malnutrition in patients and causing weight loss.

2. Anemia: Colorectal cancer cells consume a lot of iron during their growth, causing iron deficiency in patients and thus anemia. If colorectal cancer cells invade blood vessels, especially large blood vessels, it may cause bleeding, thus causing anemia.

3. Changes in bowel movement: Colon cancer cells grow in the intestines, which may damage the intestinal mucosa and impair intestinal function, thus causing changes in bowel movement. For example, patients may experience constipation, diarrhea, blood in the stool, and other symptoms.

4. Abdominal pain: Colorectal cancer cells grow in the intestines, which may stimulate intestinal muscle contraction and cause abdominal pain. If intestinal cancer cells invade tissues or organs outside the intestines, it may also cause abdominal pain.

5. Gastrointestinal bleeding or increased mucus secretion: Colorectal cancer cells may damage the intestinal mucosa, leading to intestinal bleeding or increased mucus secretion. If intestinal cancer cells invade large blood vessels, it may cause heavy bleeding.

Although the above symptoms do not occur in every colorectal cancer patient, and the occurrence of the above symptoms does not necessarily mean that there is colorectal cancer, once the above symptoms appear, they will cause certain damage to our body. Therefore, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time when the above signs appear, and undergo a colonoscopy for diagnosis. The treatment of colorectal cancer depends on the stage and location of the tumor and the overall health of the patient. Common treatments include surgical removal of the tumor, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, sometimes combined with targeted therapy or immunotherapy. Taking some preventive measures in daily life can reduce the risk of colorectal cancer, including regular colonoscopy screening, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle such as a balanced diet, moderate exercise, quitting smoking and limiting alcohol.
