What does a puncture for pancreatic cancer mean

Pancreatic cancer puncture means pathological examination.

Pancreatic cancer is a common malignant tumor that mainly originates from the pancreatic ductal epithelium and acinar cells. The exact cause of pancreatic cancer is still unclear, but long-term heavy smoking, heavy drinking, high-lipid, high-protein diet, exposure to certain chemicals, chronic pancreatitis, diabetes and other factors will increase the risk of the disease. The early symptoms of patients are often not obvious. As the disease progresses, symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, weight loss, and fatigue may occur. It is recommended to seek medical attention in time and diagnose the disease under the guidance of a doctor through tumor marker testing, selective arteriography, pathological examination, etc. Pathological examination refers to ultrasound endoscopy, abdominal wall ultrasound or CT under positioning and guidance, or fine needle puncture during cesarean section examination. Multiple cytology or biopsy can be performed. If pancreatic cancer is confirmed, early surgical resection is required.

Patients are advised to choose a nutritious, easily digestible, less irritating, and low-fat diet in their daily life, and avoid high-animal fat foods such as fat, mutton, meat floss, shellfish, peanuts, sesame, and crispy foods to avoid excessive bile secretion and aggravate the condition.
