What are the symptoms of bladder cancer spreading

So what are the symptoms of bladder cancer spreading?

1. Hematuria

Bladder cancer patients often have symptoms of hematuria. At first, there is only invisible hematuria, that is, red blood cells in the urine can only be observed under a microscope. When the cancer is serious, hematuria may be visible to the naked eye, occasionally accompanied by blood clots, and is usually painless.

2. Urinary tract irritation symptoms

When bladder cancer patients reach the late stage, they will experience urinary tract irritation symptoms, which rarely occur in the early stage. When bladder carcinoma in situ begins to appear, there may be signs of urinary tract irritation, so it is important to pay attention to the symptoms of urethral irritation.

3. Others

Patients with advanced bladder cancer have already started to spread cancer cells. When cancer cells spread to the ureters, they can cause ureteral dilation. When they spread to the kidneys, hydronephrosis and increased kidney size can occur. Bladder cancer can also metastasize to the lungs, bones, and liver, so abnormal liver function, coughing, shortness of breath, bone pain, etc. can also occur.

4.

If the symptoms of bladder cancer spread, then chemotherapy is the only treatment. How long you can live depends on the actual situation of the patient, whether the spread is too large, and the treatment. However, as long as active treatment is given, it is still possible to control the disease.

5.

Patients with bladder cancer that has spread after surgery should be treated with chemotherapy. Generally, methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, and cisplatin can be used for treatment. Gemcitabine and cisplatin can also be used for treatment.
