Is a sore throat for three years laryngeal cancer?

A sore throat for three years is not necessarily laryngeal cancer. It is likely caused by chronic pharyngitis or chronic pharyngitis.

Typical symptoms of laryngeal cancer are as follows:

1. Foreign body sensation in the throat

The feeling of foreign body in the throat is a common initial symptom of this disease, and there is often a feeling of food residue after eating. This symptom can exist alone for several months, so it is easy to be ignored.

2. Painful swallowing

The initial pain of laryngeal cancer is mild, and then gradually worsens. Unilateral pharyngeal pain is more common, and sometimes it can be multi-sided. When the tumor invades cartilage, soft tissue or is infected, the pain will worsen and radiate to the ear.

3. Hoarseness

5. Cachexia

In the late stage of laryngeal cancer, patients often experience malignant symptoms such as weight loss, anemia, and exhaustion. When the tumor invades the large blood vessels in the neck, severe sudden hemorrhage may occur, even endangering life.

Once throat cancer is discovered, the patient needs to receive treatment as soon as possible. Generally, a combination of treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy are used.
