Can neurofibroma be cured

Can neurofibroma be cured

Whether neurofibroma can be cured needs to be judged based on the actual situation. If the symptoms are mild, it can usually be cured. If the symptoms are severe, it may not be cured.

Neurofibromatosis symptoms:

Neurofibroma is a benign tumor formed by nerve sheath cells, mainly occurring in the peripheral nervous system. Neurofibroma usually grows slowly and generally does not pose much threat to the body. If the tumor grows or compresses the surrounding nerve tissue, it may cause symptoms such as pain, numbness, and muscle weakness. If it is an occasional neurofibroma, if the symptoms are relatively mild, the neurofibroma can be completely removed through surgical resection, thereby achieving a cure.

Some patients have multiple neurofibromas. Even after active and effective treatment, they can only relieve symptoms but cannot achieve clinical cure. Radiotherapy can be used to treat neurofibromas that are difficult to operate on or that patients cannot tolerate. Radiotherapy can kill tumor cells through radiation, thereby achieving the effect of treatment.

Neurofibroma precautions:

If neurofibroma occurs on the surface of the body, daily skin care is required, and the affected area should not be scratched to avoid infection. If the patient undergoes surgical resection, he or she can follow the doctor's advice to eat a reasonable diet after surgery. He or she can eat foods rich in protein and vitamins, such as meat and eggs, which are conducive to the recovery of the incision after surgery.
