At what age does nasopharyngeal cancer usually develop? What are the symptoms in the late stage?

1. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumors in China, and is more common in southern provinces such as Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Fujian, and Jiangxi. The incidence rate in men is 2 to 3 times that in women. The age distribution of reported cases in China ranges from 3 to 90 years old, but 30 to 50 years old is the high-incidence age range. The age of onset is mostly middle-aged and adolescent patients. The etiology and racial susceptibility are more common in yellow people than in white people, genetic factors, and Epstein-Barr virus infection.

2. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a highly invasive tumor that invades deep structures in the early stages. Different symptoms are caused by different ways of spreading in the nasopharynx: upward type A expansion, downward type D

Introduce:

1. Runny nose: About 3/4 of patients have this symptom. Most people suck nasopharyngeal secretions vigorously when taking a shower in the morning, which can cause the uvula to rub against the surface of the tumor in the nasopharynx, or the mucosa on the surface of the tumor can ulcerate and become infected due to the penetration and expansion of the primary cancer.

Special reminder: The blood in the runny nose is easily ignored. In Guangdong and Guangdong, it is easily regarded as "heat", and people think that it can be solved by drinking some herbal tea, which delays treatment.

2. Nasal congestion: About 1/2 of patients have this symptom. Cancerous lesions blocking the posterior nasal aperture or invading the posterior nasal cavity can cause nasal congestion, usually on one side.

Special reminder: If you have unilateral nasal congestion, you should be highly vigilant. Nasal congestion also often occurs in colds. Nasal congestion caused by colds can appear on both sides at the same time or alternately, and will mainly decrease and disappear as the cold improves.
