What are the causes of lymphoma and how to treat it

Lymphoma is what we often call lymphoma. What is the cause of lymphoma? How to treat it? Let me introduce it to you right away.

Lymphoma is a malignant tumor originating from the lymphatic hematopoietic system, which is mainly manifested by painless lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, involvement of various tissues and organs throughout the body, accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever, night sweats, weight loss, and itching.

The cause of lymphoma is still unclear. It is generally believed that it may be related to a combination of gene mutation, virus and other pathogen infection, radiation, chemical drugs, and autoimmune diseases. However, the increase in environmental pollution, such as pollution in the living environment, including automobile exhaust, harmful substances left by home decoration, and some randomly discarded electronic waste, is also an important cause. Hair dyes, pesticides, and other chemicals have also been proven to be related to the disease.

Treatments for lymphoma include:

1. Radiation therapy

Some types of lymphoma can be treated simply with radiation therapy in the early stages. Radiation therapy can also be used as consolidation therapy after chemotherapy and as adjuvant therapy during transplantation.

2. Chemotherapy

Lymphoma chemotherapy mainly uses combination chemotherapy, which can be combined with targeted therapy drugs and biological agents. In recent years, chemotherapy regimens for lymphoma have been greatly improved, and the survival of many types of lymphoma has been greatly improved.

3. Bone marrow transplant

For patients under 60 years of age with intermediate or high risk disease who can tolerate high-dose chemotherapy, autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation can be considered. Some young patients with relapse or bone marrow invasion can also consider allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

4. Surgery

Limited to biopsy or complication treatment; combined with hypersplenism, no contraindications. People with splenectomy can have their spleen removed to improve blood images and create favorable conditions for future chemotherapy.
