How to treat cervical cancer hypertrophy

Treatment of cervical cancer hypertrophy requires surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy depending on the severity of the disease. Its occurrence is related to factors such as HPV infection and immune system abnormalities. Cervical hypertrophy may be caused by chronic inflammation, cervical gland cysts or tumors, and requires a clear diagnosis through gynecological examination, imaging and pathological biopsy.

1. Surgical treatment: Cervical conization is suitable for early cervical cancer or precancerous lesions, which removes the diseased tissue and preserves the uterus; total hysterectomy is suitable for patients with a larger range of lesions, which completely removes the uterus and surrounding affected tissues; radical hysterectomy is used for advanced cervical cancer, which removes the uterus, adnexa and pelvic lymph nodes.

2. Radiotherapy: External beam radiotherapy kills cancer cells through high-energy rays and is suitable for patients with locally advanced disease or disease that cannot be completely removed by surgery; internal beam radiotherapy places the radiation source directly into the cervix to accurately kill residual cancer cells; stereotactic radiotherapy is used for local recurrent lesions to reduce damage to surrounding tissues.

3. Chemotherapy: Cisplatin combined with paclitaxel is the first-line chemotherapy regimen for cervical cancer, which can shrink tumors and increase surgical resection rates; carboplatin combined with gemcitabine is suitable for recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer to inhibit tumor growth; the targeted drug bevacizumab can block tumor angiogenesis and prolong patient survival.

4. Immunotherapy: The PD-1 inhibitor pembrolizumab is used for PD-L1-positive cervical cancer to activate the immune system to attack cancer cells; the CTLA-4 inhibitor ipilimumab inhibits tumor growth by enhancing T cell activity; the HPV vaccine can prevent high-risk HPV infection and reduce the risk of cervical cancer.

5. Lifestyle conditioning: Keep the vulva clean and avoid using irritating lotions; wear cotton underwear and avoid tight clothing; eat a balanced diet and increase the intake of foods rich in vitamins C and E; do moderate exercise, such as yoga or walking, to enhance immunity; perform regular cervical cancer screening to detect lesions early.

The treatment of cervical cancer hypertrophy requires a personalized plan based on the patient's specific situation. Early detection and intervention are the key to improving the cure rate. Through comprehensive treatment methods such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, combined with lifestyle adjustments and regular checkups, the disease can be effectively controlled and the patient's quality of life can be improved.
