How many days after ovulation does it take for implantation to occur?

It may be one or two days earlier or later. Therefore, you must seize these days to have sex and master some sexual life skills, which will be conducive to the combination of the fertilized egg. So how long will it take for the fertilized egg to implant after having sex on the ovulation day?

How many days after ovulation does it take for implantation to occur?

The process of fertilized egg combination is the whole process from female ovulation to implantation, which takes a relatively long time, which makes female friends look forward to it like the stars and the moon every day. There are many signs of pregnancy, including breast tenderness, a tingling sensation in the abdomen, fatigue, and the illusion of menstruation. If you want to know whether you are pregnant, the most convenient way is to use a pregnancy test strip. So how many days after having sex during the ovulation period will it take for implantation to occur? Let's look at the timeline of conception.

Generally speaking, it takes sperm only a few minutes to reach the fallopian tube from the vagina, but usually takes 1 to 1.5 hours. These sperm that reach the fallopian tubes lose their ability to conceive after three days. When women are in their childbearing years, their ovaries release a mature egg every month. After the egg is released, it is captured by the fallopian tube umbrella and enters the fallopian tube. Within 24 hours after the egg is released, if it encounters sperm in the fallopian tube, the egg will be surrounded by a group of sperm, of which only one sperm can penetrate into the egg and fertilize it. The egg after fertilization is called a zygote. The fertilized egg develops in the fallopian tube and gradually moves towards the uterine cavity. About 7 to 8 days after fertilization, it reaches the uterine cavity and implants into the endometrium, continuously absorbing nutrients and gradually developing into a mature fetus.

The fertilized egg stays in the fallopian tube for 3 to 5 days and then implants in the endometrium. Some are earlier, some are later, and some vary greatly. 3 to 4 days after fertilization, morula is formed, and blastocyst is formed 6 to 8 days after fertilization. Implantation begins 6 to 8 days after fertilization and is completed in 11 to 12 days.

After entering the female vagina, sperm can survive for 2 to 3 days. If ovulation occurs during this period, conception will occur. The lifespan of an egg is about 2 to 3 days, while it takes one day for sperm to travel from the vagina to the fallopian tube, and two days for the fertilized egg to implant. So the time it takes to conceive after sex should be 2+1=3 days.

In medicine, the number of days of pregnancy is generally calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period. If an ultrasound examination is performed, it can generally be seen within 25 to 38 days. However, for some women, due to late fertilization and late implantation, it may take about 40 days to see the result. Therefore, it will not exceed 40 days at the latest.
