Hot towels can cure ten common diseases

When applying hot compress, you should choose a clean towel, soak it in hot water at 40-45 degrees Celsius, wring it dry and apply it to the affected area. There should be no burning sensation when it touches the skin. It is best to cover the affected area with a clean cloth or cotton pad. Generally, change the towel every 5 minutes, and it is best to use them alternately. Each hot compress should last 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day. There are ten common health care methods of hot towel compress :


1. Relieve eye fatigue

Applying hot compress with a towel can promote blood circulation around the eyes, reduce eye fatigue, partially relieve the symptoms of dry eyes, and also have the effect of improving eyesight and strengthening the brain.




2. Prevent deafness

Applying a towel on the ears or gently rubbing them can improve blood circulation in the ears and prevent functional deafness caused by ischemia.




3. Improve dizziness

Place a hot towel on the back of the head for a few minutes at a time. This can stimulate the acupoints at the back of the head, improve dizziness symptoms in some patients, and also improve reaction and thinking abilities.




4. Treat stiff neck

For mild stiff neck, you can apply a hot towel to the affected area and do some neck exercises. Slowly bend your head forward and gently turn it forward, backward, left and right.




5. Prevent and treat cervical spondylosis

Early symptoms of cervical spondylosis, such as stiff and sore neck or mild pain after catching a cold, can be improved by applying hot towels, promoting blood circulation, relieving muscle spasms and preventing cervical spondylosis.




6. Relieve chronic lumbar pain

7. Relieve hip pain

9. Trauma

Hot compresses should not be applied during the stress period of sports injuries. However, 2-3 days after the injury, if there is no bleeding or swelling, a hot towel can be used to relieve the symptoms.




10. Remove the hard nodules caused by injections

Gently apply it to the area where the nodule appears after the injection for 30 minutes each time, rubbing it while applying hot compress to promote blood circulation in the nodule and accelerate the absorption of the medicine.

Tips:

When the injured area forms blisters or is damaged to form an "open wound", it is not appropriate to apply hot towel compress. It is even more unacceptable if there is still bleeding and swelling during the acute stage of sprain.

Hot compress is recommended, but it should be applied 48 hours after the bleeding stops and the swelling subsides. It is also not advisable to use hot towels for undiagnosed acute abdominal pain and conjunctivitis.
