How to treat mild periodontitis

In today's society, dental health is one of the most concerned issues for people. Not only do we use them to chew food, but the quality of a beautiful person's teeth also plays a very important role. If we do not protect our teeth, tooth-related diseases will follow, such as yellowing, bad breath, and even unbearable pain. Then some people will ask, "How to treat mild periodontitis?" Let me introduce it to you below.

So-called mild periodontitis is also called adult periodontitis or chronic adult periodontitis. This type of periodontitis most commonly occurs in adults, but it can also occur in children and adolescents. The disease progresses slowly, and it is often difficult to determine the normal age of onset. Most mild periodontitis worsens slowly, but there may also be intermittent active periods.

For patients with mild periodontitis, after basic periodontal treatment, such as effective self-plaque control, supragingival cleaning, and subgingival scaling, the inflammation will subside and the gingival tissue can be completely restored to health. Adolescent gingivitis is treated by cleaning to remove plaque and tartar, and local medications such as gingival pocket irrigation, local medication, and gargle can be used when necessary. For individual patients with gingival hypertrophy, gingivectomy can be performed if necessary. In some cases, the periodontal pockets can become shallower or disappear after treatment, and the periodontal tissue can be restored to health. If no teeth are lost, there is no need for restorative treatment and the patients can directly enter the long-term periodontal maintenance stage. For moderate to severe periodontitis, after basic periodontal treatment, the inflammation can be basically subsided and the periodontal pockets can be shallowed, but further periodontal surgery, endodontics, restoration, orthodontics and other multidisciplinary combined treatments are generally required.

If you want to treat pregnancy gingivitis, consider delaying periodontal treatment in the first or last three months of pregnancy to avoid miscarriage or premature birth. Emergency periodontal treatment, such as local 1% hydrogen peroxide and saline rinses, or gargle with 1% hydrogen peroxide solution, can be performed at any time during pregnancy.

From this we can see that we must protect our teeth, as it not only affects our own appearance but also the mood of our friends around us. Only when our teeth are healthy can we show our most beautiful smile. Show your confident self to your friends and make yourself more beautiful and charming.
