Smog has now spread across every city in our country, which has put a heavy burden on our lungs and has also caused the incidence of lung diseases in our country to increase year by year. X-ray examination is the most direct method to diagnose whether the lungs are healthy. However, many friends found that they had increased texture in the right lower lung after the examination. Does this mean that there is something wrong with their lungs? Lung texture refers to the radiating strip-like shadows extending from the hilum to the periphery of the lung field seen during chest imaging. It is mainly composed of the pulmonary artery, pulmonary vein, bronchi and lymphatic vessels. Suggestions: Normal lung texture extends from the hilum to the lung field, gradually becomes thinner, and moves naturally, and basically disappears in the outer zone of the lung field. Increased lung texture appears densely distributed, does not gradually become thinner with extension, and its branches can still be seen in the outer zone of the lung field. Increased lung texture itself has no specificity and has diagnostic value only when combined with clinical and other X-ray manifestations. Lung marking is an X-ray diagnostic term that refers to the radial strip shadows extending from the hilum to the periphery of the lung field. The normal lung texture is mainly the image of the pulmonary artery, with the pulmonary veins, bronchi and lymphatic vessels participating in the formation of the shadow. Lung texture enhancement can be roughly divided into three types: (1) Vascular enhancement of lung markings: The lung markings are coarse and have clear edges, and the characteristic of vascular course is maintained from the hilum to the lung fields. When pulmonary venous hypertension occurs, the lung markings increase and thicken, especially in the upper lung fields, and the transparency of the lung fields is low. The enhancement of lung markings caused by pulmonary arterial hypertension is mainly caused by the expansion and thickening of the larger pulmonary artery branches in both lungs. The lung fields are clearer. The former is common in mitral valve stenosis, and the latter is common in cardiac septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus, etc. (2) Enhanced bronchial lung texture: The lung texture is uneven, often mixed with deformed texture and small honeycomb images, and sometimes the "track sign" can be seen, which is more obvious in the lower fields of both lungs. Common in chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, etc. (3) Enhanced lymphatic lung markings: The lung markings appear as fine reticular patterns in both lungs, which are commonly seen in pneumoconiosis (such as silicosis) and carcinomatous lymphangitis. Therefore, if you only have increased texture in the right lower lung, it does not mean that your lungs are unhealthy, and this situation does not even require any treatment. It should also be pointed out that if the doctor is inexperienced, it is easy to misdiagnose increased right lower lung texture, so please pay attention to this. |
