Daily care methods for influenza

Every time the season changes, the flu will attack with great force. 1. Patients with fever should rest in bed, keep warm, prevent colds, and drink plenty of water.

2. Keep the oropharynx and nasal cavity clean, brush your teeth in the morning and evening, and rinse your mouth with light salt water or warm water after eating to prevent secondary infection.

3. The room should have fresh air, good circulation and plenty of sunlight. If conditions permit, home isolation should be implemented and the patient should live alone. Vinegar can be used to fumigate the room to control the influenza virus and prevent its spread. The isolation period is 48 hours from the onset of the disease to the end of fever.

4. Daily utensils used by patients should be disinfected, which can be done by boiling or sun exposure.

5. Take more physical exercises to improve your physical fitness and add or remove clothes as appropriate. Avoid going to public places during epidemic seasons.

6. The patient's diet should be nutritious and easy to digest. When the fever is high, you can eat liquid or semi-liquid food and drink appropriate amount of fruit juice rich in vitamin C.

7. One of the symptoms of influenza is fever, which can sometimes reach as high as 39 to 40 degrees Celsius. At this time, many people will take antipyretics, or use alcohol to wipe their bodies, or apply ice to reduce fever. In fact, at high temperatures of 37 to 40 degrees Celsius, the reproduction of influenza viruses is inhibited. It can be said that fever is a signal that the human immune system is preparing for war. If it is forcibly suppressed, it will only weaken one's own resistance and help the virus reproduce. Some people also suggest wearing less clothes to dissipate heat. In fact, whether it is a wind-heat or wind-cold cold, patients will be afraid of cold, even if they have a high fever. Therefore, what you should do is to wear enough clothes to keep warm and not take antipyretics casually (especially self-medication), otherwise it will be a mistake.
