What is the normal basal body temperature

When the body is sick, the body temperature will also change. When you have a common cold, you will have a fever, and the body temperature will be too high. So what is the normal basal body temperature? Many people don’t know. Everyone has a different physique and body temperature, and the body temperature of children and men and women is also different. The following is a detailed introduction so that you can have some understanding of the normal basal body temperature.

Normal basal body temperature:

There are differences in body temperature between morning and evening, in different parts of the human body, and between men and women. The normal body temperature of the human body has a relatively stable range, but it is not constant. The normal oral temperature (also known as oral temperature) is 36.3℃~37.2℃, the axillary temperature is 0.2℃~0.5℃ lower than the oral temperature, and the rectal temperature (also known as anal temperature) is 0.2℃~0.6℃ higher than the oral temperature. During the day, body temperature is lowest between 2 and 5 in the morning and highest between 5 and 7 in the afternoon, but the temperature difference within a day should be less than 0.8℃. In addition, women's body temperature is generally about 0.35℃ higher than men's. Women's body temperature also changes slightly during menstruation.

When in a healthy state, such as with a normal diet and appropriate clothing, the human body's temperature is generally relatively constant, maintaining at around 37°C (roughly between 36.2°C and 37.2°C), and does not change due to changes in the external ambient temperature. The average normal human body temperature is between 36 and 37 degrees Celsius (axillary). Exceeding this range is fever, below 38 degrees Celsius is low fever, and above 39 degrees Celsius is high fever. [1]

There are three common places to measure body temperature, namely the mouth, armpits and anus:

The normal body temperature of children at the rectum is between 36.5℃ and 37.5℃;

Children's oral temperature is between 36.2℃ and 37.3℃;

For children, the temperature in the armpit is between 35.9℃ and 37.2℃.

After measurement, children's temperature is considered to have a fever when it exceeds the normal range by more than 0.5℃. A temperature not exceeding 38°C is called low fever, and a temperature exceeding 39°C is called high fever.

After understanding the normal basal body temperature, any abnormal changes in the normal basal body temperature should be alleviated in time, so that it will not affect your body. Also, please note that if the normal basal body temperature varies too much, you should go to the hospital for examination first so that you can choose the correct method during treatment and it will not affect your body.
