Normal people's blood sugar occasionally reaches 10

Blood sugar, blood pressure, and blood lipids are very important for our body. The elderly are especially prone to the three high diseases. If high blood sugar occurs, some sugary foods in life must not be eaten. Moreover, when blood sugar is high, it is particularly likely to have proteinuria, which can cause kidney disease in patients. So why does a normal person's blood sugar occasionally reach 10?

The normal blood sugar value refers to the blood sugar value of 3.9 to 6.1 mmol/L when a person is fasting. The blood sugar value has guiding significance for the treatment and observation of diseases. A fasting whole blood glucose level exceeding 7.0 mmol/L is diabetes.

Normal fasting blood sugar

① Generally, the fasting whole blood glucose level is 3.9-6.1 mmol/L (70-110 mg/dL), and the plasma glucose level is 3.9-6.9 mmol/L (70-125 mg/dL).

② Fasting whole blood glucose ≥6.7 mmol/L (120 mg/dL) and plasma glucose ≥7.8 mmol/L (140 mg/dL), repeated measurements twice can be diagnosed as diabetes.

③ When the fasting whole blood glucose is above 5.6 mmol/L (100 mg/dL) and the plasma glucose is above 6.4 mmol/L (115 mg/dL), a glucose tolerance test should be performed.

④ When fasting whole blood glucose exceeds 11.1 mmol/L (200 mg/dL), it means that insulin secretion is very little or lacking. Therefore, when fasting blood glucose is significantly increased, diabetes can be diagnosed without other tests.

Normal blood sugar level after meal

1 hour after meal: blood sugar 6.7-9.4 mmol/L. No more than 11.1 mmol/L (200 mg/dl).

2 hours after meal: blood sugar ≤7.8 mmol/L.

3 hours after meal: Returns to normal after the third hour, and each urine sugar is negative.

Normal blood sugar levels for pregnant women

① For pregnant women, fasting blood sugar should not exceed 5.1mmol/L.

② 1 hour after meal for pregnant women: The blood sugar level 1 hour after meal is generally used to detect diabetes in pregnant women. Authoritative data show that the normal blood sugar level for pregnant women should not exceed 10.0mmol/L 1 hour after meal.

③ 2 hours after a meal for pregnant women: The normal blood sugar level after a meal is generally not allowed to exceed 11.1mmol/L, and the normal blood sugar level for pregnant women 2 hours after a meal is not allowed to exceed 8.5mmol/L.
