How to distinguish the quality of Pu'er tea

Tea has a long history in our China, and it occupies an unshakable position on the Chinese historical stage. Among the many types of tea, many people particularly like to drink Pu'er tea. They believe that Pu'er tea has a unique taste and has health benefits, and is one of the essential products in life. Then, do you know how to distinguish the quality of Pu'er tea? If you don’t know, just follow me to learn how to distinguish the quality of Pu’er tea.

1. Observe the appearance. First of all, we should look at the appearance of Pu'er tea, no matter it is tea cake, brick tea, Tuo tea, or other types of Pu'er tea, first look at the shape of the tea leaves, whether the strips are complete, and whether the leaves are old or tender. Generally, old leaves are larger and tender leaves are thinner. If a tea cake does not have obvious strips (the lines formed by tea leaves) on its exterior and appears to be relatively broken and thin, it is made from inferior tea.

2. To look at the color of the tea, you need to see whether the color of the tea leaves is dark or light, and what the glossiness is. The color of the authentic product is liver color. Generally, Pu'er tea that has been aged for more than five years will show a reddish black color.

3. Look at the color of the soup. Depends on the color of the soup. The tea soup of good quality Pu'er tea should be transparent and shiny, with an oil-like film on the surface. Poor quality tea soup is black and murky.

4. Smell the tea. Smell the smell. The smell of aged tea is very sweet and refreshing, not stinky. In addition, you should also check whether the tea leaves are intact and soft.

Some black shops on the market often confuse buyers who do not know how to appreciate tea and sell low-quality Pu'er tea that has been stored for many years as high-quality Pu'er tea. Therefore, everyone should open their eyes and use the above-mentioned methods to see clearly what is the high-quality and excellent Pu'er tea. Finally, the editor hopes that everyone can drink safe and healthy tea.
