Will gallbladder polyps cause abdominal pain?

The symptoms of most gallbladder polyps are similar to those of chronic cholecystitis. Generally, the main symptom is obvious discomfort in the patient's upper abdomen, and some are prone to stones. However, gallbladder polyps are generally discovered through examinations and have no particularly obvious characteristics. Many people suspect that they have gallbladder polyps when they experience abdominal pain. So, will gallbladder polyps cause abdominal pain?

You will have abdominal pain.

Gallbladder polyps can be clinically divided into three periods: active growth period, relatively stable period, and absorption and dissipation period. During treatment, they generally go through the process of "active growth period-relative stability period-absorption and dissipation period". The characteristics of each period are as follows:

Active growth phase Relative stability phase Gallbladder polyp generation, absorption and dissipation phase Gallbladder polyp volume continues to increase, does not change and gradually decreases The number of gallbladder polyps continues to increase, does not change and gradually decreases Clinical characteristics of gallbladder polyps:

Characteristic 1: The incidence rate is gradually increasing. With the diversification of human dietary structure, abnormal dietary rhythm and the intensification of environmental pollution, the incidence rate of gallbladder polyps is gradually increasing, such as: high-cholesterol diet, long-term alcoholism, excessive intake of stimulating diet, dietary disorders such as: not eating a good breakfast or not eating breakfast, too much dinner, and other bad eating habits, excessive pesticides, rampant food additives, ionizing radiation filling the space, etc., are all directly and indirectly related to the formation of gallbladder polyps, thus giving rise to the first characteristic of gallbladder polyps-the incidence rate is gradually increasing.

Feature 2: Hidden and aggressive, gallbladder polyps are mostly asymptomatic, and more than 85% of patients are discovered during routine physical examinations. During examination, polyps smaller than 3-4 mm are difficult to detect or are often missed in CT and MRI.

If the patient is a long-term alcoholic or eats high-cholesterol foods for a long time, it will also aggravate the phenomenon of gallbladder polyps. Patients with gallbladder polyps should eat on time and in the right amount. Having serious bad eating habits can easily lead to gallbladder polyps, so you must pay more attention to your diet in daily life.
