What are the conservative treatments for varicose veins in the lower limbs?

There are many common diseases in daily life, and for some diseases, patients themselves must actively seek treatment, which will be of great benefit to the patient's condition. Especially for the treatment measures of varicose veins of the lower limbs, many friends are not so familiar with it, but this type of disease is very common. So, what are its conservative treatment methods?

Treatment of varicose veins in the lower limbs:

1. Traditional surgical treatment

(1) The treatment of varicose veins of the great saphenous vein is mainly high ligation and stripping.

(2) If the great saphenous vein is insufficiency but the anastomosing branches and deep veins are normal, high ligation can be performed to cut off the great saphenous vein and its branches.

(3) For patients with both great saphenous vein valvular insufficiency and anastomotic branch valvular insufficiency, in addition to the above-mentioned surgeries, the abnormal anastomotic branches should be ligated and cut off separately, or great saphenous vein stripping should be performed.

(4) If there is reflux at the point where the small saphenous vein enters the popliteal vein, the entrance segment can be ligated and removed, and the distal segment can be stripped or injected with a sclerosant.

2. Elastic stockings can be worn for treatment in the following situations

(1) Systemic diseases, such as active hepatitis, progressive pulmonary tuberculosis, uncontrolled diabetes, severe heart or kidney disease, etc.

(2) Local diseases, such as deep vein obstruction, pelvic or intra-abdominal tumors, acute phlebitis, and leg ulcers complicated by cellulitis.

(3) Patients who are pregnant, too old, or have secondary arteriovenous fistula.

3. Minimally invasive treatment

Traditional surgical methods are radical, but have disadvantages such as multiple surgical incisions, trauma, time required for recovery, and poor aesthetics. Therefore, over the past decade, a large number of new methods with less trauma have emerged, such as: sclerosing agents, laser closure, radiofrequency ablation, cold light source translucent excision, microwave therapy, and catheter electrocoagulation, all of which have achieved good results and provide patients with more options that meet their individual needs.

The above are some treatment measures for varicose veins in the lower limbs. The treatment effects described above are very good. The patient himself must receive treatment in a timely manner. If he is not treated in time, it will be very harmful to the patient's body and it will easily delay the patient's condition. You must pay attention.
