How does Traditional Chinese Medicine treat cerebral hemorrhage?

There are many causes of cerebral hemorrhage. The most common causes are high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis. It is easy to leave sequelae after cerebral hemorrhage, such as slurred speech, unsmooth walking posture, etc. The chance of occurrence is higher in winter. Many patients have no signs when the disease occurs. It is a sudden thing. Others will have symptoms such as dizziness. Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine will be better. So, how does traditional Chinese medicine treat cerebral hemorrhage?

Traditional Chinese medicine: 1. Angong Niuhuang Pills, 1 pill, twice a day, used for those with yang blockage in internal organs during stroke, with its pungent and cool properties to open up the orifices.

2. Suhexiang Pills, 1 pill, once a day, is used for those with yin blockage in internal organs caused by stroke, to open up the orifices with its pungent and warm properties.

3. Take Naoxuekang oral liquid, 10 ml each time, 3 times a day. Used in the acute and recovery phases of stroke.

4. Huatuo Zaizao Pills, 8g each time, 3 times a day. Used in the acute phase or recovery phase of stroke.

5. Dahuoluodan, 1 pill, 2 to 3 times a day. Used in the post-stroke period.

Acupuncture:

(1) Acute phase:

Acupoints for closed syndrome: Ren Zhong, Yongquan, Baihui, Dazhui, Shixuan bloodletting, Hegu, Neiguan. If there is excessive phlegm, add Fenglong and Tiantu.

Acupoints for treating depression: Shenque, Guanyuan, Qihai, and moxibustion.

(2) Recovery period:

Acupoints on the upper limbs: Jianyu, Quchi, Waiguan, and Shousanli. Acupoints for the lower limbs: Huantiao, Weizhong, Fengshi, Yanglingquan, Zusanli, and Kunlun. For speech difficulties, add Yamen, Jinjin and Yuye acupuncture points for bleeding. For facial and eye deviation, add Jiache, Dicang and Xiaguan.

2. Auricular acupuncture points: heart, subcortex, brain stem, Shenmen, and corresponding limbs.

3. Scalp acupuncture is the pricking of specific stimulation areas on the scalp.

(1) Sports area:

Location: The upper point is 0.5 cm backward from the midpoint of the anterior-posterior midline; the lower point is at the intersection of the brow-occipital line and the front edge of the hairline. The line connecting the upper and lower points is the exercise area. The upper 1/5 of the motor area is the lower limbs, the middle 2/5 of the trunk motor area is the upper limb motor area, and the lower 2/5 is the facial motor area, also known as the speech motor area.

Main indications: The upper 1/5 of the motor area is used to treat paralysis of the contralateral lower limbs and trunk; the middle 2/5 of the motor area is used to treat paralysis of the contralateral upper limbs; the lower 2/5 of the motor area is used to treat contralateral central facial paralysis and motor aphasia.

(2) Sensory area:

Location: On the parallel line 1.5 cm backward from the motor area, 1/5 is the lower limb and trunk sensory area, the middle 2/5 is the upper limb sensory area, and the lower 2/5 is the facial sensory area.

Main indications: The upper 1/5 of the sensory area is used to treat sensory disorders of the contralateral lower limbs and trunk; the middle 2/5 of the sensory area is used to treat sensory disorders of the contralateral upper limbs; the lower 2/5 of the sensory area is used to treat sensory disorders of the contralateral head and face.

Rehabilitation treatment after cerebral hemorrhage is very, very critical. You should pay more attention to the training of basic life skills, such as dressing and eating by yourself. You should also eat more easily digestible, low-sugar foods, and eat more fresh vegetables, especially green vegetables, to help digestion and defecation. Eat more high-protein foods, such as fish and beans.
