What is Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection?

Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection is generally a common disease in children. The pathogen is Mycoplasma pneumoniae. The main symptom of the disease is coughing. At the beginning, it is just coughing without sputum, and later it becomes a violent cough, and there will also be fever and diarrhea. The characteristics of the lungs are not very obvious. Because the baby's body is relatively weak, it is easy to get the disease. So, what exactly is Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection?

The main symptoms of pneumonia in children are fever, cough, shortness of breath and dry nose. The main cause of the disease is due to wind-cold or wind-heat. In addition, during the course of some other rash diseases, if the child's vital energy is weak, this disease may also occur or be secondary to it. Pneumonia caused by mycoplasma infection in the lungs is caused by decreased resistance and environmental hygiene factors. The clinical manifestations of pneumonia in children are fever, cough, and dyspnea. Some children do not have fever but have severe cough and wheezing. The main cause of the disease is that children like to eat too sweet, too salty, fried and other foods, which leads to stagnation of food and internal heat, phlegm and heat, and occasional cold wind makes the lung qi stagnant. The two are mutually causal and cause pneumonia.

The course of mycoplasma pneumonia is relatively long, and common symptoms are dry cough, no sputum or a small amount of white sputum. Exciting continuous cough is prone to occur. Accompanied by fever, diarrhea, muscle aches, etc., and there is no obvious abnormality in lung auscultation. Sometimes local skin erythema may occur.

In the early stage of chest X-ray, there are common shadows in the lower lung field, and the positive cold agglutination test can be used as a reference. In hospitals with conditions, serum mycoplasma IgM antibody test can be performed, and the positive test can basically confirm the diagnosis. General antibiotic treatment is ineffective, and macrolide antibiotics are effective, including macrolide tips, tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, etc. In addition, there are lincomycin, clindamycin, vancomycin and sulfonamides such as SMZxo for selection. Go to the hospital, the doctor will use relevant macrolide drugs according to your condition.

Pneumonia in children is very common and occurs all year round, especially in winter and spring when the incidence is high. If parents do not pay attention and the treatment is not thorough enough, it will easily affect the baby's development. Parents can often pat the baby's back to help him spit out phlegm, keep the baby warm, and keep the indoor air fresh to ensure smooth circulation.
