How to wash moldy cloth

How to wash moldy cloth

Daily cleaning is necessary when living at home. Sometimes you may suddenly find that the sofa fabric in your home is moldy. It would be a pity to throw it away, but you are worried about the impact on your health if you continue to use it. Moreover, the fabric itself has an unpleasant smell after being moldy, which seriously affects the home environment. How to clean cloth after it gets moldy is a headache. Let me introduce it below.

Mildew stains can be exposed to sunlight first, then cleaned with a brush, and then washed with alcohol, or rubbed with mung bean sprouts. Wipe with a 2% soap alcohol solution (add a handful of soft soap flakes to 250 grams of alcohol and stir evenly), then wipe with 3-5% sodium hypochlorite bleach or hydrogen peroxide, and finally wash. This method is limited to white items, and old stains can be soaked in the solution for 1 hour. You can also wipe it with 5% ammonia water or turpentine, and then wash it with water to remove it.

Can be washed with citric acid and then rinsed with cold water. Calcium chloride solution can be used for cleaning. You can also use mustard solution or borax solution (add two tablespoons of mustard or two tablespoons of borax to a bucket of water) for cleaning. If there are mildew spots on woolen clothes, first put the clothes in the sun for a few hours. After they are dry, just brush them lightly with a brush. For some clothes that become moldy due to grease and sweat, you can use a soft brush dipped in gasoline to repeatedly scrub the moldy places, then use a clean towel to repeatedly scrub several times and place them in a ventilated place to dry and wipe.

Sometimes silk clothes may be moldy. It sounds inconvenient at this time. You can soak the clothes in water for a while, and then brush them repeatedly with a brush to remove all the mildew stains. Then apply soap evenly on the mildew stains and rub them repeatedly to thoroughly clean the mildew stains.
