Although snake venom can endanger people's lives and even put people in danger of death at any time, in fact, as long as the snake venom is used properly, it can be used to treat many diseases. This is the effect of fighting poison with poison. However, it must be taken under the guidance of a doctor. If it is taken by mistake, it will still cause danger. However, it is very difficult to remove snake venom. There are two methods for collecting snake venom: "dead collection" and "live collection". "Dead harvesting" is a special *destructive method of cutting out the venom glands from the heads of venomous snakes cut off by processing units or by anesthetizing and killing venomous snakes such as post-fanged snakes and sea snakes with less venom production. It is only used occasionally under special circumstances. Generally, the "live collection" method is used to preserve snake resources. Here are some "live collection" methods. ⑴ Electrical stimulation method of collecting poison: This method uses a weak electrical stimulation tool such as a "needle anesthesia device" and a special electrode to stimulate the inner wall of the snake's mouth. Once the snake is electrically stimulated, it will immediately excrete venom due to the electric numbness. When choosing an "acupuncture anesthesia device", it is best to use a weak one that can help the snake detoxify. If the stimulation is too strong, it will affect the health of the snake. ⑵ The method of collecting poison by biting a plate: The tool used in this method is a tiny glass plate or a small porcelain plate (spoon). When collecting venom, place the snake naturally on the workbench, hold the snake's neck with one hand, and use the other hand to put a glass dish or porcelain plate into the snake's mouth. When the snake bites, venom will flow out. When the venom stops flowing, take out the container or small porcelain plate. This method is simple, convenient, and easy to operate, and it can also be applied to venomous snakes that have lost their fangs. The disadvantage is that the snake venom is easily contaminated by impurities such as microorganisms, desquamated epithelium, mucus, mud and sand in the snake's mouth, and the amount of venom collected from each snake is not large. See picture for collecting poison in glass dish. ⑶ The poison collection tool of the membrane biting method is a small glass funnel. The mouth of the funnel is firmly covered with a transparent and elastic nylon film, and the end of the funnel is tightly blocked with a rubber stopper. When collecting venom, hold the snake's neck with one hand and use the other hand to lightly touch the snake's mouth with the edge of the funnel. When the snake opens its mouth and the venom stays, you can slightly twist the funnel to force it to open its mouth and take the opportunity to push out the funnel film. Each funnel can be used continuously until the nylon membrane is damaged or the tube can no longer store venom. This method is relatively simple, but it cannot be used on snakes that have lost their fangs. The device and method for collecting poison by biting a plate are shown in the figure. ⑷ Negative pressure poison collection method: This method is improved on the basis of the bite membrane method. That is, a layer of plastic film is tied to the mouth of the funnel, the bottom of the funnel is connected to the centrifuge pipeline through a rubber stopper, and the side tube of the funnel is connected to the water pump through a rubber tube. Before collecting the poison, the faucet of the water pump is opened to draw air to form a negative pressure in the funnel. The operation method of collecting venom is the same as the biting membrane method, but this method is more effective for venomous snakes with low venom production and thick venom, such as vipers. However, the membrane needs to be replaced frequently to ensure the negative pressure effect. This method is not allowed to be used for venomous snakes with thick fangs. ⑸ Accumulated venom collection method: Hold the snake's neck with one hand, place the snake's head above the venom container, and use the index finger and thumb of the other hand to push and squeeze the venom glands on both sides from back to front. The venom will flow out of the snake's mouth. Squeeze until no more venom flows out. This method is easy to operate and can also be used on venomous snakes that have lost their fangs. If this method is combined with a poison extraction device, the effect will be better. The poison extractor is shown in Figure 36. This article tells you in detail how to remove snake venom. In fact, removing snake venom must be done by professionals. Other people may be bitten. The most important thing is to choose the most suitable method according to the different types of snakes. Usually there are two methods: live extraction and dead extraction. During the venom collection process using the above methods, if the snake's mouth is found to be inflamed, red, swollen, or filled with pus and blood, venom collection should not be carried out and the snake should be given timely treatment. It will not be too late to collect venom after it has been completely cured. |
