How to protect your throat

How to protect your throat

When it comes to the usage of our body organs, I believe that our throat is the most used. Our daily speaking and communication basically cannot be separated from the throat. Once there is a problem with our throat, it will be very uncomfortable, and even speaking will be affected. Especially for friends who are engaged in some special industries, such as teachers, they really need to protect their throats to avoid problems. So how should we protect our throats?

Speaking style: Pay attention to your speaking style, use appropriate speaking speed and tone, and try to speak calmly. Don't speak loudly too often, as this may cause hoarseness or even loss of voice.

Speaking time: The total speaking time per day should not exceed three hours, and continuous speaking should not exceed one and a half hours. The vocal cords should be given sufficient rest. Breathe through your nose more often and change from chest breathing to abdominal breathing.

Always have throat lozenges on hand: When you go out, you can always have some throat lozenges on hand. When you feel your throat is dry, itchy or painful, you can take them to stimulate saliva secretion. In life, you should pay attention to weather changes, keep your mouth clean, and drink more tea that clears away heat and reduces internal heat.

Drink more warm water: Water is the source of life. Drinking more warm water is not only helpful in preventing dry, itchy and painful throat, but also helps prevent other diseases. Avoid drinking alcohol and coffee. Maintaining the balance of water in the body can fully moisturize the vocal cords.

Pay attention to your diet: avoid irritating foods, eat less hot, cold and spicy foods, quit smoking and drink less alcohol. Even passive smoking should be avoided, as smoking can significantly increase the risk of laryngeal cancer.

Avoid using your voice when you have a cold: When you have a cold and fever, you may have a sore throat. At this moment, you must avoid using your voice. Excessive use of your voice may increase the burden on your throat and cause throat diseases, making the situation worse.

When we have problems with our throat, we will feel painful and regretful. So in order to reduce the occurrence of this situation, we must protect our throat. We can follow the above methods to take care of our throat, do not talk excessively, and pay special attention to colds that cause throat inflammation. At this time, you must seek medical attention in time.
