Where does gout usually occur? Teach you how to identify gout

Nowadays, there are more and more gout patients. The main symptom of gout is pain. Generally speaking, it is mostly joint pain, and most of them have an acute onset. If the pain is severe, it will cause the patient to be unable to sleep all night.

1. The typical first attack of gouty arthritis is mostly monoarthritis, most commonly affecting the first metatarsophalangeal and big toe joints, followed by other joints of the ankles, knees, elbows, wrists, hands and feet. The acute phase is usually sudden, often occurring at night, and the patient may wake up due to pain and be unable to sleep all night. If the disease recurs, it may develop into polyarthritis or migratory arthritis. The affected joints are red, swollen, hot, and painful, with limited movement, and there is often exudate when large joints are affected. It may be accompanied by symptoms such as fever, chills, fatigue, anorexia, and headache.

2. Toes and toe joints are the most common sites for gouty arthritis, among which the big toe joint is the most common, followed by the tarsal, ankle, heel, and finger joints, and then the metacarpophalangeal joints and wrist, elbow, and knee joints. Larger joints such as the hip, shoulder, and sacroiliac joints are less likely to be affected. Gouty arthritis is even less common in joints such as the mandibular, sternoclavicular, spine, and sternocostal joints.

3. The above content is the common sites of gout. I hope it can help everyone. Now everyone should understand where gout occurs and where the harm of gout is greater, so it must be treated early. Discover gout in time in life, go to the relevant hospital for diagnosis and take necessary treatment methods to effectively control gout. I wish you good health.
