2. Parasitic diseases. Such as roundworms. Pinworms, pubic lice, etc. can cause anal itching.

3. Anorectal and perineal diseases. Anal fissure, anal fistula, hemorrhoids, anal prolapse, anal incontinence, anal sinusitis, anal papillitis, as well as urethritis, prostatitis, vaginitis, uterine prolapse, etc. can all cause anal itching due to inflammatory stimulation, increased anal gland secretions, and moist anus that irritates the skin.

2. Systemic factors

1. Disease factors: such as diabetes, jaundice, diarrhea, constipation, rheumatism and gout, blood diseases, malignant tumors, uremia, and diabetes insipidus. Cirrhosis of the liver, menopause in women and men, etc. can all be complicated by anal itching.

2. Psychological factors: Anal itching can also be induced by panic, depression, abnormal mental excitement or neurasthenia.

3. Drug effects: Some people may experience anal itching after taking morphine, quinine, arsenic, anesthetics, antibiotics and other drugs.

4. Unknown cause: Anal itching for which no specific cause can be found is called spontaneous itching. Some people believe that this is related to family genetic factors.

5. Allergic reaction: Some people may have allergic reactions after eating fish, shrimp, eggs, crab meat, etc.; some people may have allergic reactions due to drinking alcohol, eating spicy foods such as chili, mustard, spices, etc. These foods can cause anal itching.

Causes of anal itching in children:

Children often experience itching in the anus, which is mostly caused by pinworms that parasitize in the children's bodies. At night, female pinworms migrate to the area around the anus to lay eggs, causing itching. Parents should provide their children with deworming treatment in a timely manner.

Causes of anal itching in the elderly:

The causes of anal itching in the elderly are also different. Due to the decreased function of sebaceous glands, the skin lacks the nourishment of sebum, the skin is dry, and there are more skin folds around the anus. Feces, sweat and dirt are easily accumulated there, making the skin often damp and unclean. This can easily lead to bacterial growth and chronic inflammation at the junction of the perianal skin and mucous membrane, causing anal itching. In addition, elderly people who are obese and sweat a lot are more likely to experience anal itching.
